<p>05:30 &#8211; In &#8220;traditional&#8221; medicine, they are studying theory, the catabolic state, cancer break down, this person needs certain B vitamins to generate the energy, their collagen swelling report, they need higher amounts of vitamin C, etc, etc.</p>
<p>10:00 &#8211; Whatever you can&#8217;t get away from toxins, check the Environmental Working Group, EWG.org, the Clean 15 or the Dirty Dozen, clean 15 foods. They did a study years ago on placental blood that babies right when they&#8217;re born to have over 200 chemicals on average in their blood. So you&#8217;re breathing it in and you&#8217;re putting them on your skin.</p>
<p>22:00 &#8211;&nbsp;The rich and famous are taking this stuff. Then you look at all the other ones and all they are, are glorified antioxidants, and basically multivitamins. If you look at what affects telomeres, in reality, it&#8217;s stress. If you had a stressful childhood, you can&#8217;t process your emotions and haven&#8217;t figured out who you are or how to process those emotions. Then you carry that stress to your life, it shortens your telomeres.</p>
<p>30:00 &#8211;&nbsp;I have seen some directly enhanced testosterone levels and guys having positive effects for fertility with women who are having fertility issues. This has been shown to balance out those hormones on women.</p>
<p>40:30 &#8211; The higher the mineral content in the food, the more drought-resistant the food, the higher the energy of the food, the more sweet the food is, the longer that food is gonna last in your refrigerator. So you buy an organic zucchini that&#8217;s rotting in 10 days in your refrigerator, I pick my organic, get into my organic zucchinis that I&#8217;m growing. I can leave them on my countertop all summer long, then cut them up, and they&#8217;re still fresh as the day that I picked them.</p>

<p>I think you take it back to that awareness aspect. I think if you know who you are, and you know what you believe, then you have a tool that shows you how you can love yourself because if you don&#8217;t like yourself, you&#8217;re dealing with yourself for the rest of your life. You know, then you&#8217;ve got an issue, know yourself, find yourself and then let that belief guide you. It&#8217;s going to lead you to do that aspect of truth that says, okay, if I really believe that, then what am I doing to make that difference and leaving that legacy?</p>

<p>A super-condensed version of Trey&#8217;s story:</p>
<p> 3 years ago I was silently working in my career. Not really wanting anything different. It&#8217;s funny, I&#8217;m not sure if the term is &#8220;woke&#8221; or &#8220;awaken&#8221;, however; I became conscious of a burning need to be more. I can&#8217;t really explain why, maybe its related to Maslow&#8217;s Hierarchy of Needs, maybe I climbed the pyramid, and the last piece of the puzzle of the American Dream was self-actualization. Anyway, I started searching for external things to make me feel like I was growing. I started the podcast because I thought that I could grow it quickly and become rich and famous. I became &#8220;that guy&#8221; looking for sponsorships and quick ways to earn a buck for the podcast, to show that I was successful. I busted my ass and nearly lost everything, because of the need to prove myself.</p>
<p> To make a long story short, I became aware of what I truly am, a source of higher consciousness. I became aware that &#8220;I&#8221; was creating goals, and those goals would never end. I would continue killing myself for the rest of my life trying to crush these goals that weren&#8217;t &#8220;real&#8221;. I mean &#8220;real&#8221; in the sense of fulfillment. The goals could produce physical rewards, but none would ever fill that bucket.</p>
<p> The real reward is NOW. Right now. This sec. Can you be in this moment, with your body and mind, and just be. Can you create enough silence in your mind to hear your true self? My true self wants to be heard. The universe is helping me prepare my message. The podcast is my tool for growth.</p>
<p> The podcast is teaching me how to be in the moment with some pretty righteous people from all walks of life. It&#8217;s hard. To give yourself fully to someone you don&#8217;t know, and to have an authentic conversation, where you show the other person who you truly are. No judging, just connection, and flow. These are some of the best conversations I&#8217;ve ever had. I really hope you enjoy them. There is no particular order, just find one that you like and binge the rest.</p>
<p> Life is not about how much you obtain, it&#8217;s about how much you learn.</p>

<p>10:00 &#8211; He&#8217;s like, why don&#8217;t we take the scallops entree, the salmon entree, and my favorite, is the octopus tentacle because they roast it, it&#8217;s amazing. So why don&#8217;t we just put all three on a plate? I&#8217;m like, dude, you&#8217;re talking my language, load it up. He&#8217;s like, no sides, and I said you&#8217;re damn right.</p>
<p>20:00 &#8211; Obviously FAT A Documentary explains all of that around healthy fats. I wish Game Changers would have explained that better because fats are needed even in a vegan and vegetarian lifestyle. I don&#8217;t eat fruit, let me clarify this. There are two pieces of fruit that I eat and they are fatty fruits, avocados, and olives. They&#8217;re healthy fats. So they&#8217;re not a sugar bomb from Mother Nature.</p>
<p>30:00 &#8211; I&#8217;ve interviewed the biologists on that too. Again, they don&#8217;t talk about this stuff in the Game Changers movie. They keep saying well plant-based proteins are just as good. Well no they are not, it&#8217;s not biologically the same. I&#8217;ve interviewed the experts, so sorry, this lack of science points drive me nuts. When people just throw the surface level info out there and they don&#8217;t back any of it up. They just move on to the next subject.</p>
<p>40:00 &#8211; That&#8217;s how we got this all started doing this month, two months, three months in crowdfunding fundraising. By pretty much two-three weeks, it was open longer, but I mean, we were ready to rip the lid off for like a good 60 to 90 days. Then as soon as they had enough money, he started hiring the film crew and getting everything in motion for FATDOC.</p>
<p>50:00 &#8211; Think about it, if you go back 50 years, just think about how much sugar we actually had in our lifestyle back then. Look at the level of manufactured foods and preserved foods we have today on the shelves in a grocery store. The way my dad brought me up, it was simple eggs and bacon every day. My dad&#8217;s now Type II Diabetic, he&#8217;s overweight, and he&#8217;s on diabetes drugs because he&#8217;s forgotten these things.</p>

<p>Beer is basically all grains, liquid grains. If I drink now, it&#8217;s distilled grains, Bourbons and Scotches. So I&#8217;m actually not kidding you there. Drinking beer is totally inflammatory. That&#8217;s why you see another increase in obesity. Why do you think a lot of heavy heavy beer drinkers might look like they&#8217;re pregnant? Now if you drink bourbons and scotches, they are still toxins. Thanks to the distillation process that is used to create and turn grains into alcohol, it removes all of the inflammatory impurities. But yes, you&#8217;re still basically straight drinking a sterile poison if that makes sense. Because it&#8217;s how the body looks at it anyway.</p>

<p>10:00: Chapter four is all about mindset. In fact, that&#8217;s the title of the chapter, mindset matters. The mind is a powerful thing.</p>
<p>20:30: Even the science behind eating breakfast, one of the things I had to really force myself to do is the first thing I did was I even put a refrigerator in my bedroom. It&#8217;s stocked with my protein drinks, which only have one gram of sugar and 30 grams of protein.</p>
<p>30:30:&nbsp;When I got home from the hospital after having gastric bypass, I literally started looking at what I could eat versus what I used to eat. I would put a plate next to another plate and I would put what my old portion used to look like. With my new portion I thought, wow, Portion Your Plate, that&#8217;s kind of what I&#8217;m doing.</p>
<p>40:50:&nbsp;You need to have dinner with Condoleezza Rice. Oh my god she is inspirational. I spent probably five minutes with her. She had to be alone for 12 minutes, believe it or not, but I spent about five minutes with her. She told me something that I will never forget and that was the confidence you exude. In a room, no matter who is in that room, you may not be the most important person in the room. But you better act like you&#8217;re the most important person and don&#8217;t ever let anybody treat you any less than that. She said, putting on the confidence that you need to walk into a room is like putting on a jacket, you got to put it on. When you walk into a room with people, you stare at them straight in the face and you shake their hand, and you don&#8217;t ever act as if you&#8217;re less than the most important in the room.</p>

<p>If there&#8217;s one thing that I can do or if there&#8217;s one thing that I can say that will make somebody else&#8217;s life any better Scott and if my book just inspires one person to get after it and lose some weight, I will feel like I&#8217;ve done my job. The reality is that you can see my before and after picture there before I had 160 pounds in my after. I want to be able to impact just one person and if I can impact just one person, the whole book was worth me writing it. I never ever had a plan or a dream to write a book. I feel like this message is so important in the United States especially because there are some people who are suffering from morbid obesity.</p>

<li>[11:00] It’s definitely a lifestyle approach. The way I like to describe it to a lot of my clients is kind of like a pyramid. We all remember the old food pyramid where the bottom was bread and carbs and towards the top was maybe candy, but there were very little fats in there very little protein sources.</li>
<li>[20:00] Eating cholesterol does not raise your cholesterol. It goes back to the whole lifestyle picture. I eat whole eggs every single day for breakfast. I eat red meat, I eat a lot of foods that have cholesterol in it, but my cholesterol levels are very, very low. When we combine things like processed foods with processed sugars, and then lots of inflammatory fats like industrial seed oils, vegetable oils, all of those combined in one, those are really the enemies that we need to be aware of.</li>
<li>[31:00] I already was doing nutrition coaching. I was raised more on an athletic side, so I was helping with weight loss, I was helping with building muscle athletic performance. So I was already doing that. I’ve always enjoyed working with people and helping other people. But there’s something just different about helping other people improve their quality of life. Going from where they are, I’m miserable, I can’t eat anything and to be able to like eat something without feeling miserable after it. That just feels awesome to be able to help people to that extent. So I love helping people get six-pack abs and all that if that’s what they want to do. But just to truly be able to improve people’s quality of life, that’s a whole other level for me.</li>
<li>[42:00] A cow that’s fed grains is going to have much higher rates of omega-six fats compared to omega threes when a cow has been grass-fed. It’ll still have some omega sixes. It’s not going to have nearly the extent of a grain-fed cow. So omega sixes for people who don’t know, are pro-inflammatory fatty acids. Omega threes are anti-inflammatory. So we do need both in the body. But with typical Standard American Diet aka SAD Diet, we tend to get way more of the omega sixes that are pro-inflammatory. We are not getting enough of the omega threes that are anti-inflammatory. So we have a lot of people suffering from chronic inflammation and cholesterol issues. We are not saying that everybody needs to go outsource their cow. But they do need to pay attention, i.e. where’s your food coming from? Read the food labels, it blows my mind when people will just purchase “foods” and they did even look at what’s in the food that they’re eating.</li>
<li>[52:00] I can hand someone over the perfect nutrition plan and be like, if you follow this, you will get great results, you’ll be fit, you’ll feel great. But there’s often a lot more barriers than that. A lot of it goes back to mindset and motivation. Lack of confidence contributes to why can’t we follow it, it’s not always that black and white. I actually end up doing a lot more mindset counseling as well to in addition to the nutrition side of things under my Functional Medicine practices.</li>

<p><strong><em>“You’re Worth It!”</em></strong></p>
<p>I would say kind of going back to a lot of the things we’ve talked about is just your health. Honestly, it is well if your health is the foundation for everything and not just the way you look. And it affects everything, it affects your business, it’s going to affect your relationships with your family, it’s going to affect your confidence. If you want to reach new levels of success, and you want to really be at the top of your game with your business with your life. You need to be looking at the Foundation, you need to be looking at our diet, or exercise or hydration levels. That’s going to transpose to all areas of your life. So I would encourage people to just start with the basics, looking at their lifestyle, and building that up and going from there. So building the self-discipline and also just knowing you are enough and knowing “<strong><em>you’re worth it”</em></strong><em> </em>too because I think a lot of people struggle with self-doubt, low confidence, and building up like what Andy Frisella even talks about a lot in his Podcast. Do the difficult things, the things you don’t want to do, do the things you say you’re going to do. Not only is it going to help you achieve your goals, but you’re going to build up a reputation with yourself and you’re going to be able to achieve the things that you want to. Build up that confidence!</p>

Actually giving yourself a little bit of credit is important. I think some of us who have done some of the self-focused, self-development work, maybe forget that we actually have put more focus on that. We forget to reward ourselves for that.</li>
<li>[21:30]&nbsp;It’s a tool, mindset runs strongly throughout the book. I put the book on Amazon and I got a bunch of reviews back. As I was reading through the reviews, I learned more about what the book was about, or how it affected people. There was a common thread of how they felt like the author was holding my hand and leading me through the practices, and it was easily digestible.</li>
<li>[33:00] This is free and you can call it like a preamp to the book, but it’s something that you can digest immediately. 12 practices, they are not all about food, a handful of them are and they’re fun. They’re out of the box and these are ways that you can get started ASAP.</li>
<li>[41:30] You get to do this for the rest of your life. That’s the path that you want to go down and there are lots of GI digestive issues from that metformin. That’s the biggest complaint.</li>

<p>Our thoughts and our beliefs invoke our actions. Our actions are what create results. This is where all work, all practices begin. It’s right here and it’s not an intellectual concept. It’s a daily practice. We can think of it in terms of affirmations.</p>

<p>I know the big thing that I want for the people who I get the privilege of being in their world, is, I want you to know that whatever it is you&#8217;re struggling with, for me, it was both my health, it was competence, it was thinking that no man would ever want to marry me if he knew I was so broken, right? So broken.</p>
<p>Anything that it is that you want to create for you, for your body, for your life, for your health, it is absolutely possible! However, you have got to have that dog eat determination and faith that you can heal, that you can move through this. A big part of that is going to be you&#8217;re above all of it, it&#8217;s going to be your belief that you can succeed at it. So just like he and I were talking about in entrepreneurship, you have to have that dogged determination you have to keep that focus in the faith and let go of the how we get so stuck on the how. You don&#8217;t need to know that how you just need to know that come hell or high water, you are doing this damn it! When you keep that front and center, whatever you&#8217;re struggling with in your relationships in your life and your money in your heart and your health, all of that can be overcome and I am living proof of that.</p>

<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;05:00&#8243;] I have multiple sclerosis. diagnosed in 2000. Being an academic Doc, I sought out the best people got the best treatments and ended up converting into the progressive phase of the illness. By 2007. I couldn&#8217;t really sit up anymore. I was struggling to walk, had severe fatigue, brain fog and I had severe episodes of trigeminal neuralgia. That is terrible pain and that&#8217;s when I had started after four years, in my wheelchair, doing my own research on the basic science what I could do. I started with supplements to support my mitochondria, which helped reduce my fatigue a little bit, I adapted the Paleo Diet really soon after.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;06:00&#8243;] I discovered the Institute for functional medicine took their course under protection had a deeper understanding of what I could do more supplements. Then I had this really big aha moment. I should redesign my diet based on the supplements based on the ancestral health principles on functional medicine. So it&#8217;s still a paleo diet but much less meat, more vegetables, and it was dramatic the speed of which my pain resolved. My mental clarity resolved, my fatigue resolved, I began walking again. I would ultimately go back to biking and was able to do an 18.5-mile bike ride 12 months after getting up out of that wheelchair.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;10:00&#8243;] There&#8217;s an excessive level of toxins which might be solvents, pesticides, or heavy metals. Then there&#8217;s a hormonal imbalance, so that&#8217;s true if you have depression, psychosis, schizophrenia, multiple sclerosis, early cognitive decline dementia memory loss associated with diabetes. Also, memory loss associated with mercury poisoning or chronic fungal poisoning.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;15:15&#8243;] The best test is a test that can look at your species plus the genes plus all the metabolites plus your DNA to tell you can you run all the chemistry that needs to happen? A lot of detail, that&#8217;s a lot of detail commercially, those products aren&#8217;t yet readily available.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;21:00&#8243;] In 2020 we will be analyzing our data, comparing the impact of adopting the Wahl Diet or a highly structured Paleolithic diet. This looks like a little less meat, many more vegetables, sort of a hybrid between Paleo and Mediterranean.</li>

So my position is the root cause of much of the chronic disease, whether it&#8217;s diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, mental health issues, this is this cellular dysfunction. So if I provide nutritional support at the cellular level, it can be hard to predict how much repair is possible.</li>

It helps us learn more rapidly, both the good, wonderful things and unfortunately, some very terrible, hateful things as well. It allows change to happen much, much more rapidly. <p>First, I think if you&#8217;re listening to the podcast, you probably have an interest in health and performance and being the next level you wouldn&#8217;t be otherwise you&#8217;d be watching something&nbsp;distracting. So first I want to honor that.</p>
<p>Second I want to say is be willing to experiment, be willing to take steps you can always on to nowadays you can usually find someone that&#8217;s already been down that pathway that you want to experiment with and you can see if that works for you. I think that&#8217;s a great tool.</p>
<p>Third, always keep learning because the game keeps changing all the time.</p>
<p>Then the final piece I would say is don&#8217;t underestimate the power of fixing your digestive system. My business partner is a ketogenic guy, I&#8217;m a vegetarian, we&#8217;re both as far off the spectrum of mutual formats or dietary choices. We&#8217;re dietary agnostic, and what I mean by that is that I think that everybody should choose the diet that works for their lifestyle, their genetics, and epigenetics. Remain flexible enough that they&#8217;re willing to spend a bit of time experimenting with other things in order to see if there&#8217;s something they might be able to add from some other perspective as opposed to narrowly attacking other people because they&#8217;re doing something that&#8217;s right for them, which I think is so asinine.</p>

Plus, that there&#8217;s almost no hope for that individual unless they want to make radical statements and follow people who are willing to go out and fail and try these other things and come back and say, hey, look, here&#8217;s what I learned about this, try and avoid this.</li>

There are so many variants of the high protein focus, but the whole key for most women is they can&#8217;t deal with many carbs unless they happen to be the thin variants, that naturally thin variant without the hunger gene.</li>

It happens after women lose weight and men too. You often feel like a Shar-Pei dog, with skin hanging all over the place. If you just keep lifting weights, it tightens up, I didn&#8217;t believe it at first too. That&#8217;s what happened to my abdominal situation. I lost 12 inches and had all of this stuff hanging, we call that medicine that Panniculus. That all tightened up like a panel, that&#8217;s a lower abdominal flap.</li>

Well, you start selling more, or you start going the extra mile, your chances of getting up promotion increase exponentially. which results in could be $10,000 more, $25,000 more. Maybe you all of a sudden go I&#8217;m too big for this damn company. I&#8217;m so damn good. I&#8217;m going to put myself on the market. And then another company comes in and hires you and offers you 120,000.</li>

<p>Travis is an ex-corporate ladder climber in the advertising technology space turned catalyst for change in the way the world identifies with and experiences masculinity. Achieving and performing were all that mattered in my twenties until the point where after getting the promotions and making the money, I kept coming back to feeling completely empty. All my intentions and energy were focused on consuming more things external to myself to build up my identity. A lack of having a father figure my entire life has taken me on this journey of untangling myself from the social pressures we feel as men to be a certain way, to prove our manhood. Taking down the masks socially and emotionally has been my path to freedom, natural expression, and purpose. I’ve built a community for men to do the same and it’s called The Drop. As an embodiment coach and a current Wim Hof Instructor in training my focus is&nbsp;to create a path for men that will allow them to cultivate the way of being and discipline to carry out a life of depth and purpose.</p>

<p>Some quick background on him, he graduated medical school in 2008 and completed his radiation oncology residency training in 2013. He has lived on Florida’s Space Coast since 2013, where he works as a radiation oncologist at a busy cancer center. He has been practicing a primal/paleo lifestyle since 2011 and has become passionate about the connection between diet/lifestyle and health, particularly as it relates to cancer.</p>

He is enthusiastic about health, longevity, and cancer prevention and believes that the key to achieving these can be found by looking outside the mainstream medical and nutrition resources. When he’s not working or spending time with his family, Brendan enjoys working out and training for OCR races and has qualified for the North American Championships to be held in Vermont this summer. <p><strong><em>Bobby:</em></strong> A man&#8217;s mind, once it&#8217;s opened up, you can&#8217;t go back. Everything we speak about and you promote, once you dive into that, there&#8217;s not really a going back. When you dive deeper into your mind, deeper into your physical, deeper into your emotional side, it&#8217;s hard to turn back. Be uncomfortable, try new things, just get out there and do you! Whether you love your career or not, the career can provide the lifestyle.</p>
<p><strong><em>Kim:</em></strong>&nbsp;It&#8217;s that idea of the LEAP&nbsp;and the net will appear. Find what it takes to get inspired so you can share. There&#8217;s nothing worse than holding back from life and just trying. Go towards an open door, go toward an opportunity. Every time&nbsp;Kim has gone toward an opportunity with all of her heart, it has either taught her something or opened another door. Kim encourages everyone&nbsp;from her 8month old niece, to her 4-year-old nephew to the 31-year-old peer who&#8217;s listening, to the 65-year-old mother/father/grandparent to not stop looking for those open doors and moving through them. As soon as you stop moving, you&#8217;ll feel stagnancy within you and around you. That is the opposite of vitality. Find the opening, keep moving, and continue to be inspired!</p>

<p>Travis is an ex-corporate ladder climber within the advertising technology space turned catalyst for change in the way the world identifies with and experiences masculinity. Achieving and performing were all that mattered in my twenties until the point where after getting the promotions and making the money, I kept coming back to feeling completely empty. All my intentions and energy were focused on consuming more of things external to myself to build up my identity. A lack of having a father figure my entire life has taken me on this journey of untangling myself from the social pressures we feel as men to be a certain way, to prove our manhood. Taking down the masks socially and emotionally has been my path to freedom, natural expression, and purpose. I’ve built a community for men to do the same and it’s called The Drop. As an embodiment coach and a current Wim Hof Instructor in training my focus is creating a path for men that will allow them to cultivate the way of being and discipline to carry out a life of depth and purpose.</p>

Aaron has literally made courses about movement in our everyday life, such as chopping carrots, getting out of the car and sitting in a chair. Aligning these simple movements would improve your quality of life. If we can pull from all that and instilling those practices into our daily movement, it will eventually become who we are. Too often we get wrapped up in the quick fix. The way to get past that quick fix is to make it fun and the way to do that is to create activities around it.</li>

When Aaron is looking at someone&#8217;s health, he is looking at the structure organisation around their joints, their skin quality, the elasticity of their tissue, how much they smile, their eye contact and how they relate to people in a social environment, all that is health and it is all things successful people are doing.
