<p>04:15 –&nbsp;Double ribeyes are my dinner every night, and most of the nights it&#8217;s a triple ribeye, so I eat more than any person that I sit down with.&nbsp;</p>
<p>13:00 –&nbsp;I was starting from a very dirty diet, and I saw that quick weight loss as like, oh my gosh, this is the miracle diet, miracle cure. I was so impressed that I told myself, the Vegan Diet is absolutely the best diet. I&#8217;m gonna stick to this for as long as I need to&#8230; </p>
<p>15:10 –&nbsp;I had my autoimmune psoriasis condition ever since I was a child. So as long as I can remember, and for me to keep it at bay, I had to use topical prescriptions. So for me, the life changing benefit, Veganism didn&#8217;t help, but Carnivore helped me get off all prescription topical creams and literally just cure it. I never have flare ups anymore. </p>
<p>23:00 –&nbsp;People who aren&#8217;t open minded, when they look at your content, and they automatically assume things because they&#8217;re already closed minded to begin with. So they will assume the most extremes. They&#8217;re never going to watch your content and be reasonable. So the content that I post, at least, is created for the people who are already informed, already &#8220;Carnivore Curious. But somehow a lot of my posts get viral. They blow up overnight or something like that, and then I look at the comments the next day, and most of the comments are all naysayers. They just don&#8217;t understand.</p>
<p><span style="background-color: transparent">29:20 – &nbsp;T</span>he Steak and Butter Gang is just my private community for those who need that extra help and guidance, so I&#8217;ve set up the steak and butter gang to be an online community. You basically get to hop on almost daily zoom calls with my team of coaches, moderators, etc. The magic is in the live zoom calls, because you actually get to talk to carnivores of 3, 4, 5, 6+ years of experience. We talked about Dr. Chaffee a lot, I invite carnivore doctors like Dr. Chaffee, Dr. Baker, and others to do monthly Q and A&#8217;s.</p>

<p>This year, I think the main theme of my life, and I did turn 28 a few months ago, so I feel like I&#8217;m still a baby. I get to hang out with so many great carnivores and just this conversation alone, I learned so much from you. I feel like this year, for the theme, it should be, spread kindness, love, and question everything. So these things I find I&#8217;ve been doing every single day, spread love and kindness above all, and at the same time question everything. Every single day, I learn something new, but that&#8217;s because I keep an open mind. Even carnivore things. There are videos where I&#8217;m like, automatically we make all these assumptions, but then I keep the open mind, and I always walk away learning something new. So I hope people who listen to your episode, they question everything, they are okay with unlearning things that they thought were facts, and they spread love and kindness. <p>14:30 – I&#8217;ve seen the Carnivore Lifestyle help a lot of people. I think it&#8217;s important to get that message out to as many people as possible. You will get people saying whatever the hell they want to say, in a very negative fashion, but it&#8217;s a vast minority of people. The vast majority of people tell me about how much better they are, how many illnesses they&#8217;ve fixed. They tell me how their dad&#8217;s out of a nursing home and is able to live on his own again, and that he&#8217;s off all his medications. Or how someone underweight has put on weight after living very frail and skinny and now he&#8217;s putting on muscle again. Just like other people are losing excess weight, they&#8217;re feeling much better, and their diabetes is gone, their acid reflux is gone. These diseases that were just crippling people and crippling society, they just go away in a realist and short period of time.</p>
<p>17:50 – Aspartame is on the carcinogen list for years now. I heard that when I was a kid in the 1980&#8217;s. It was mentioned casually, like, hey that might cause cancer, or might be involved in it, or something like that. So this has been bouncing around forever, but the processed food companies have kept it off that list by paying people to keep it off the list. They&#8217;ve admitted and said themselves, that 75% of their funding comes with strings attached. They openly said that a couple of years ago, and we all knew it. The FDA really showed how much of a shill they are for the big processed foods and drug companies.</p>
<p>33:00 – The most rigorously studied died on Earth is the ketogenic diet. What is it?&nbsp;Well, that could be anything because it just means dropping carbs. That&#8217;s not actually what happens in practice, because it&#8217;s very difficult to do a plant based ketogenic diet because you get rid of carbs, you have to replace it with fat and protein. Plants are a really bad source of both of those. So it&#8217;s very difficult to do that, you have to take a ton of supplements, and you are probably getting a lot of seed oils and are drinking canola oil every day.</p>
<p>41:30 – Higher ketones can seem to suppress both seizures and migraines. Then different sort of inflammatory factors can be triggers, or just plant toxins can be triggers for both seizures and migraines. We have 100 years of evidence and experimental data and interventional data for both migraines and epilepsy with a ketogenic diet as the treatment(s).</p>
<p>49:25 – This lifestyle works for mental clarity, which just cleans right up, and brain fog goes away. That&#8217;s a very common thing that people report when they go onto ketogenic diets in general and especially a Carnivore Diet in particular. That brain fog just goes away and they can actually think clearer with higher energy. They realize they have very consistent energy throughout the day, especially when they get rid of caffeine. You don&#8217;t have the ups and downs from the caffeine as well. They find that they have are not spiking up, but you&#8217;re also not dropping down. You&#8217;re just here, level, and consistent. That really helps me when I&#8217;m on call at the medical center and I&#8217;m just busy all night long but with consistent energy and alertness.</p>
<p>01:10:00 – When nothing was working, and medications were not working, they actually came across Chris Palmer. So he was able to put his bipolar in remission. He&#8217;s on a nearly pure Carnivore Diet, because again, ketogenic diets are meat based, high fat meat based food diets, with a side salad if you want to, I don&#8217;t know why you would though.</p>
<p>01:24:00 – A natural plant is tobacco, which is a poisonous plant, which is a nightshade. That falls into the same plant families as potatoes, tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>08:30 – When it comes to our Lehigh Valley, PA region, there&#8217;s not enough personal and professional development here locally, like you said, I&#8217;ve traveled everywhere, California, Florida, Texas, we know social groups and masterminds.&nbsp;</p>
<p>10:20 – I&#8217;ll tell you , it always surprised me when I speak at more local events and not the big stages. Like you said, traveling all over the country, no matter where you&#8217;re doing it, no matter if it&#8217;s New York City, or if it&#8217;s going to be here in the Lehigh Valley, wherever it is. So many people are hungry for it. I believe that everybody knows the truth deep inside, but either busy has beat them, or life has beat them down, or they&#8217;re on autopilot doing things. But when we hear the truth, we all stop for a second, we all pause.</p>
<p>22:00 &#8211; It changes the intent and how you see things, I promise you, and you&#8217;re talking to a guy who is a convicted felon, I did four years in the Feds, a high school dropout, I was a drug addict on every single level. I&#8217;ve done every single drug known to man, I had zero discipline, I had a mindset where I did whatever the fuck I wanted. I didn&#8217;t care who I hurt, I didn&#8217;t care what I did. There was zero discipline. Now, in this evolution, for people to understand where real personal growth comes from, with your family, with your relationships, with your finances, with your health, with everything&#8230; it&#8217;s discipline!</p>
<p>29:15 &#8211; Brother when I came in here, I put my phone over on the table. You know what I mean? It&#8217;s because it&#8217;s that thing, that mobile tech, you got to be disciplined to not look at it. Discipline is everything. Like I can&#8217;t say it enough and I can&#8217;t talk about it enough, DISCIPLINE.</p>
<p>39:25 – What you mentioned too, was intentional evaluation process. As we get older, many people stop evaluating themselves. I mean, you work in a job, you&#8217;re gonna have an annual review. But those numbers are already circled. How about we get to circle our own numbers and be intentional. So once a month I call it get my life together Saturday. I sit down with a cup of coffee, a cigar, and maybe really nice drink. Then I put down the different roles that I play as a versus overall as me, Andre, but also as a husband, as a father, I have four kids, believe me, I&#8217;ll have four different ratings. Okay, as a leader, and you could go whatever role that you value, put it down on a scale of one to ten. My rating is on a scale of one to ten.&nbsp;</p>
<p>45:00 – So I think one of the challenges of being a coach is we try to coach at home, and they don&#8217;t need a coach, like I experienced this with my daughter, Wes knows my kids. This is what I have on my phone at 9:15, and it says discipline equals freedom. Make a list for tomorrow goes off every night at nine o&#8217;clock. So like, this is where discipline comes into play. The gift in the curse with what we do, we coach people, we give people direction, we tell them what they need. Then we go home&#8230;</p>
<p>53:30 – DALE: Yeah, they need to be present, just like we were talking about be present where you are present. Like I to have quite a few friends who just had the most amazing dads. Like there&#8217;s nothing more important to them than their family and their kids. Not just that they&#8217;re proactively raising their children and teaching them. Here&#8217;s what it means to be an entrepreneur at 10, 11, 12. If you do this, I&#8217;ll give you a reward. So they understand reward systems, they understand then once they start doing those things, they get a reward, but how good they feel on the other side is a huge reward in itself too. So they&#8217;re just teaching them all these different things in life that I learned, but I didn&#8217;t necessarily learn from one person.&nbsp;</p>
<p>59:00 &#8211; One in 400 trillion or it&#8217;s 400 trillion to one. Each of us, you yourself are that one in 400 trillion chance to come into existence. When I heard that statistic, I immediately was woken up, just think about that. Just the thought of that is happening, why do you exist on this earth, why are you walking around. Each of us are a 400 trillion to one chance of creation. That&#8217;s it. When you think about that, it&#8217;s like each of us won the lottery of life. So you know how special you are right now?!&nbsp;</p>
<p>01:07:00 &#8211; I&#8217;m a man of faith, I don&#8217;t hide that. I think it&#8217;s very important, not so much being religious, but I&#8217;m spiritual. I heard the voice of God and he said, Wes, I&#8217;m all the father that you&#8217;ll ever need. I&#8217;m all the father that you&#8217;ll ever need, bro. When you put expectations on human beings, they will let you down a lot. So he said, I&#8217;m all the man that you&#8217;ll ever need. Just FYI, we&#8217;re setting a fucking date for this Men Of Mindset night again bros. I&#8217;m coming back!</p>
<p>01:13:00 – I mean, I think that&#8217;s part of growth, though. The theme of tonight was Men and Mindset, right? Mindset is just the key word. <p><strong><em>Her Struggle With Anorexia Nervosa: </em></strong></p>
<p>Growing up in France, Claire ate the typical French diet rich in saturated fat and protein. A dancer, she was naturally thin like her fellow ballerinas-in-training. Constant comparisons as to who was the slimmest, however, led Claire to develop body-image issues, and as she entered her teenage years, she started to restrict her eating.</p>
<p>Her parents were in the dark about her struggles, and after experiencing a traumatic incident at the age of 16, her eating disorder got worse and developed into full-blown Anorexia Nervosa.</p>
<p><strong><em>Finding The Carnivore Diet: </em></strong></p>
<p>As the years passed by, Claire became a prisoner of her tyrannical eating disorder. At 5′ 7″, her weight would go on to drop to a life-threatening 69 pounds. She became so frail she had to use a wheelchair, and at one point, she even lost the fat from her optical nerves and went blind for months.</p>
<p>Her hair fell out, her teeth fell out, and her heart rate was always hovering below 40. In 2017, she got the flu and died on the table for several minutes. At 33 years old, Claire was desperate beyond measure and started looking for alternative ways to try and conquer Anorexia.</p>
<p>When she came across the carnivore diet, she was intrigued by its simplicity. She started with a low-fat option but still didn’t feel very well. Then, in July of 2021, Claire was unable to go swimming with her family when on vacation because she was freezing cold—even though it was the middle of the summertime.</p>
<p>In her sadness, she became resolved to give the carnivore diet a real try and booked a coaching session with one of the Carnivore.Diet coaches online. They encouraged Claire to think about eating meat and fat like taking medicine, and if she committed to it fully, her body would heal—fast.</p>
<p>“I was so scared, but from one day to another, I only ate fatty meat…it was a life changer.” Claire started off with easy-to-digest ground beef. She also drank raw egg yolks and snacked on butter—sometimes up to several sticks a day!</p>
<p>“I was eating fat all the time, and my body handled it fantastically…It was like body happiness…I couldn’t stop! Since the moment I started eating this way, I was not able to restrict myself anymore. I have to eat when I’m hungry—my body is so happy with it!</p>
<p><strong><em>Finding Happiness and Learning Weight Optimization: </em></strong></p>
<p>Within three months, Claire was able to gain 20 pounds and come off all of her anti-depression medication—in close collaboration with her doctor, of course! Now, 39 years old and with a full head of hair, Claire is up to 110 pounds. Instead of being wheelchair-bound and blind, she is able to jump on the trampoline with her son and work all day in her job as an engineer. All of her blood markers are excellent as well, leaving her doctors amazed.</p>
<p>Any lingering concerns about her weight have vanished, and Claire is miraculously unbothered by the scale. “The carnivore diet is not about weight loss; it’s about weight optimization. So, if it brings me to gain twenty more pounds or thirty more pounds—it’s possible—I don’t have any trouble with it.</p>
<p>I want to feel satiated all the time, and I want to be able to think clearly, and I don’t want to restrict… I’m eating amazing food, I’m doing some movement, I’m sleeping well, so the weight will be what it has to be.</p>

<p>05:00 – I was vegan I from 2012 2017, fiver years of my life. You have to find what is true and what is not true. On the internet you can find all the information you want. You can listen to what you want to hear. If you want to hear that veganism is perfect, you will hear that veganism is perfect.</p>
<p>09:00 – When I started switching to veganism, I didn&#8217;t want to become a vegan at the beginning. I did it for my son because I was breastfeeding him and he was having health issues because he was allergic to dairy and dairy protein was going into my breast milk. So the doctor asked me to stop just the dairy on my own for him, not to get any dairy, and to get better. So it was the starting point. I just eliminated dairy from my diet first. Then I was looking for more people having the same issues and I start finding people saying similar things.</p>
<p>19:20 &#8211; I&#8217;m eating lots of meat and my son is really happy with this. H is also eating a lot of meat as well and he knows that meat is good for him. But it&#8217;s not eating only meat. It is. I&#8217;m really open minded. As long as he has his meat and his fat first, then he can have whatever he wants.</p>
<p>30:30 –I wasn&#8217;t drinking alcohol, I stopped in 2010 because my uncle died, he was 30 years drunk. So I was not drinking any alcohol, I was not eating any fat, but I had liver failure, and you have liver failure because you&#8217;re not giving nutrients to your body. I had a few heart failure issues because when you don&#8217;t get enough potassium into your body, and you cannot retain the potassium, so it gets low and even if I had potassium through my veins every single week, it was not enough to sustain because I was not giving the nutrients. I was just damaging everything. I had a lot of kidney stones. This is due to all these crappy leafy greens I was eating them all of the time. So I was passing kidney stones all the time.</p>
<p>39:30 – It was very important for me and she helped me a lot to get out of the medication because it&#8217;s the same, you kind of go out of psychiatrist make medication just listening to person in the inefficiency of saying you go carnivore and then you stop being depressed and anxious. Okay, no, it took me three months, but we did it gradually, and she was helping me with this. No way she would give me back to big pharma, especially if she knows that it&#8217;s working and all is fine. But yeah, for all of this very heavy medication, you need medical advice. I&#8217;m an engineer, I&#8217;m not a doctor.&nbsp;</p>

<p>I left all this of this veganism crap in the past to make me a better person and to be able to educate people. Yeah, I was wrong. I was brainwashed. I&#8217;m not anymore, I think on my own. <p>00:30 &#8211; Introduction</p>
<p>10:30 &#8211; It was the most intense period of my life. Burma, there was some very crazy events, tension, and stress levels were always maxed out. It was in the middle of ISIS territory, I don&#8217;t think it was actually carved out as ISIS controls this, but they were very, very active in Bangladesh. Speaking to the locals there, they were telling me that they&#8217;re not only active, but they were supportive. They were supported by the local Imams and things like that.</p>
<p>22:00 &#8211; All of this data shows that if you&#8217;re metabolically healthy, you will do much, much better against things like COVID. I think that&#8217;s something that people can do, that they can affect in their own life. That is something that they can change, that they can affect, and they can take control their own health and their own destiny. A lot of diseases, even chronic disease, especially chronic diseases, are being shown to be metabolic issues. Metabolic issues are specifically brought about by not eating the right thing.</p>
<p>32:00 &#8211; On the topic of Fasting, from what I can see, all of the same benefits can be achieved just from being in that healthy metabolic state. You get the same Autophagy process where you clear your body of these senescence cells. You clear out those those pre cancer cells and all of those little half dead cells are working too well. So all of those benefits from fasting you get from just eating a proper diet, like the Carnivore Lifestyle because you&#8217;ll be in that metabolic state. There are a lot of studies with so called fasting mimicking diet, which is a ketogenic diet, and they find that it was really hard for people to fast. So I really don&#8217;t like it, you can do this by just getting in that healthy metabolic state.</p>
<p>40:30 &#8211; There are many people who made that same comment back in the early 80&#8217;s. They looked at other animals, because the argument was from all the experts at the time, they assumed that you had to eat carbs in order to burn carbs for getting biochemistry. That as soon as you stop eating carbs, you make carbs, so that&#8217;s what all of these people who supposedly took biochemistry assumed. Then we get into the topic of Gluconeogenesis.</p>
<p>51:15 &#8211; I don&#8217;t think we need supplements. I don&#8217;t think you need to take any of those things. If you think about what we eat for and what&#8217;s the purpose of eating. We&#8217;re trying to build and maintain animal structure, animal tissue, meat, right? So what by definition is going to have everything that we need, in the proportion that we need it, to build and maintain&#8230; MEAT aka a Carnivore Lifestyle.</p>
<p>01:02:40 &#8211; Plants don&#8217;t want to be eaten. You know, maybe their fruit, maybe they&#8217;d like that to get eaten. But even then, they want specific animals to eat them. They don&#8217;t want necessarily us to eat them. There are most fruits and berries that will kill you. If you go out into the wild, people that know about foraging, hunting, and survival out in the wild will tell you NOT to eat random red berries.</p>

<h2><strong>Our Final Words of the Show: </strong></h2>
<p>I think the main thing is we were having a lot of things come out, like Dr. Palmer&#8217;s book with the brain energy thing you&#8217;re looking at metabolic health. The last few years looking at the most people that were most affected were people that were metabolically unhealthy as well, finding out about, you know, cancer being linked to metabolism and the mitochondria. The main thing that you can do for your health and the health of your loved ones, and really just the happiness and sanctity of your life, is to look at your own metabolic health and try to take steps to become metabolically healthy.</p>
<p>I think that it fundamentally comes from what you eat, your metabolism is what you eat. You study biochemistry is really just the science of what we eat. And what happens when we eat certain things. The energy mobilization in your body, your metabolism is what you eat and so when you&#8217;re eating things that your body doesn&#8217;t really know how to use properly, you will damage your mitochondria. There are a lot of these toxins that we sort of touched on, but didn&#8217;t go into too much detail. But a lot of these plant toxins really damage your mitochondria, and just running on carbohydrates, damages and suppresses the function and expression of your mitochondria. So you make less of them. They&#8217;re suppressed in number as well as function.</p>
<p>So there are certain things and you can call them hacks, and you can call them whatever you want. But there are certain things that increase the efficacy of your mitochondria, map metabolism and the number. So there are certain things people can look into. This is all available on PubMed, Google Scholar, all these sorts of things. Take a look, see what is actually good for your mitochondria? I&#8217;m sure there&#8217;ll be other things mixed in there like, oh, this chemical and broccoli seems to help whatever. Okay, but what are the 150,000 other chemicals and what are they doing? Are those healthy as well? Are those contributing? Or are they diminishing from your metabolic and mitochondrial health. So I think that metabolic health is just the most important thing, it is what will keep you healthy, and it keeps you healthy longer. It will help you weather all sorts of different infections and it will prevent you from getting chronic diseases in the first place.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t think that these so called chronic diseases like autoimmune issues like heart disease, even Cancer, and Alzheimer&#8217;s, Parkinson&#8217;s, and diabetes, I don&#8217;t think these are diseases, they&#8217;re non-communicable. They didn&#8217;t exist 100 years ago, in any real numbers. These are coming from eating the wrong thing. They are damaging our mitochondria, they are damaging our metabolism. They are presenting themselves in these weird and horrible ways and they don&#8217;t need to exist if you take care of your metabolic health.</p>

<p>02:15 &#8211; I was already committed to doing humanitarian work in Bangladesh and volunteering in the refugee camps. There was the largest humanitarian crisis in the world at the time and it was in Bangladesh. I don&#8217;t know that everyone&#8217;s heard of it. But there was a mass genocide in Burma in September 2017. About 200,000 people were killed in a Holocaust level of evil ways. About a million people fled into Bangladesh, Southern Bangladesh from Burma to escape this and so there wasn&#8217;t really enough people helping out. So I felt that I needed to go over and help. So I gave up on on playing professional Rugby that season to go go help out.</p>
<p>16:20 &#8211; I sort of had my eyes open before I went there. I expected it to be really bad and I figured there was like a 50/50 chance I wasn&#8217;t coming back. But I felt that it was worth it to do that. You know, I never fooled myself about about the realities of the Third World. But seeing it in person and seeing people just live like that, it obviously makes it very, very real. Understanding things and then seeing them for yourself are two very, very different things. It definitely gives you a broader understanding of humanity in the world in general. So I&#8217;m very grateful for that.</p>
<p>23:30 &#8211; I would hope that they would find it distasteful to do that to anyone. So the women basically stayed pregnant as often as possible because they would be less likely to be raped to be pregnant. So there was one lady that I met and saw the scars to prove it, she was being detained by the Burmese military and she was being gang raped for the whole day. She was just begging them, she had a very young baby, and she was begging them, please let me go. Please let me go, I need to feed my baby. I have to feed my baby, she&#8217;s hungry. I have to feed her please let me go, please let me go feed my baby. And so eventually they did, but they cut her nipples off.</p>
<p>32:00 &#8211; Macroaggressions vs Microaggressions. That always struck me as a sign of a blessing  of our civilization. If you have time to worry about microaggressions you live a blessed life and things are really good for you vs a culture living with macroaggressions.</p>
<p>45:40 &#8211; I think it comes from word of mouth, people actually living the life and having these benefits and having these visible, tangible results. Just being an example, when I first got here, it was very big vegan movement. Everyone was really convinced of that, that just vegan was the way to go. So I come in here and I&#8217;m the only human being in Perth and probably most of Australia, who advocated for this sort of thing.</p>
<p>54:15 &#8211; Yeah I do not consume lactose as well. That will raise your insulin and when you raise your insulin, your hyperinsulinemia causes a lot of biochemical changes in your body. They are canges that you don&#8217;t necessarily want and it derails your metabolism. It slows your metabolism. It puts you into a fat storage metabolism as opposed to a fat burning metabolism. There are actual studies with actual science that show that people just on a ketogenic diet and are in actual ketosis, their basal metabolic rate is on average 300 kilocalories higher than someone else who&#8217;s eating carbohydrates.</p>
<p>01:07:00 &#8211; I was a professional athlete, I played professional rugby for 10 years before medical school. Five of those years, I was carnivore, and I was not eating anything else. Those were the best, most explosive and dominant dynamic, athletic years of my entire life. I could not get tired, I couldn&#8217;t run out of energy, I couldn&#8217;t get sore, I just could go, go, go. The harder I pushed myself, the more my body gave me. I was able to push myself harder, but I also got more out of it, my body recovered and rebuilt stronger than it would have otherwise. So my performance and my athleticism, they were on a logarithmic scale as opposed to a geometric one.</p>

<p>This is the medical world, the pharmaceutical world, and everything is tied back to the nutritional world. God forbid, you cure yourself naturally. Now, they can make money off of your unhealthy lifestyle choices. Where they can&#8217;t sell you the poison, they can then subsequently sell you the cure. Whether that&#8217;s intentional or not, that is what&#8217;s happening. We&#8217;re poisoning ourselves. We&#8217;re damaging our bodies  and it is worth a lot of money. We&#8217;re taking medications to then mitigate those those problems. So this was the neurologist saying this and that is in the literature. This guy was recognizing that this is actually something that removes triggers for seizures. It will work but if you stop it, it will stop working.</p>

<p>Dr. Jay has a Ph.D. in biochemistry and he researches stem cells and epigenetics at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is also the president of the <a href="https://www.ajconsultingcompany.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">AJ Consulting Company</a> which provides personalized diet, sleep, and training programs based on DNA. Dr. Jay is the author of a bestselling book on artificial estrogen chemicals and is an expert on hormones, fats, and cholesterol. His book is called <a href="https://amzn.to/2PQoMom" target="_blank" rel="noopener">“Estrogeneration: How Estrogenics Are Making You Fat, Sick, and Infertile.”</a></p>

<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;03:00&#8243;] The Glutathione component is a necessary supplement to aid my body in its detoxicification process is that accurate? Yeah for you specifically it&#8217;s more important than normal. It clears heavy metals and it clears just a lot of different products that you know are toxic like you said and just the fact that your body&#8217;s not producing as much as it should as much as a normal person based on your DNA.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;05:30&#8243;] Dr. Jay just got a new on reverse osmosis filter system and stainless steel tank. It&#8217;s a tankless reverse osmosis which is kind of cool. Most of them have like a plastic storage tank where they keep the water.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;11:30&#8243;] Something called Carnosine. Actually plants don&#8217;t make Carnosine. You can&#8217;t find if you&#8217;re a pure vegetarian, you&#8217;re not eating any Carnosine. So let&#8217;s, let&#8217;s dive into this right. So we&#8217;re talking about Carnivore now.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;12:15&#8243;] I think there&#8217;s so much science we just don&#8217;t know you know, most people think that that we were so far along in science we just know everything but I really don&#8217;t. When you run these mass spectroscopy studies, there&#8217;s thousands of different compounds. In reality, there&#8217;s probably thousands of different things we&#8217;re getting when we&#8217;re consuming meat and we&#8217;re consuming them in a balanced form, and not some isolated one substance form and that is supplementation.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;15:00&#8243;] Telomere tests, your telmore age, and carnivore mascot, Dr. Shawn Baker.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;16:13&#8243;] I respect people&#8217;s lifestyle choices. I respect their faiths , I don&#8217;t talk about religion on this show. If you choose a vegan lifestyle because of your love of animals, okay, I get it, but then just make sure you are aware that you better supplement the heck out of that lifestyle because it is not a 100% lifestyle. We are naturally omnivores. Great book, omnivores dilemma is a classic first thing I ever learned about the word on the board from and again, I&#8217;m a huge advocate.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;17:00&#8243;] A lot of people on the Carnivore Diet are super zealous about it too. I think the zealots are difficult because they&#8217;re not really open to what&#8217;s good. They&#8217;re just picking a side and they&#8217;re sticking to it, no matter what. They don&#8217;t really care about the logic or the arguments. I mean, you can find that pretty much anywhere, but it seems to be super concentrated in the vegan community, it is not every vegan, but definitely there&#8217;s a lot of them out there that are really social media trolls.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;18:40&#8243;] I&#8217;ve become a advocate for moving on from the word diet. Vinnie Tortorich cares a lot about with his whole NSNG Lifestyle. Trademarking his No Sugars No Grains as this not a diet it&#8217;s a lifestyle. So I&#8217;m intrigued that if once you progress through this research, we could finally bring it to the point where this is a lifestyle. Diet, thanks to magazines and bro-science has become a short-term mental thing. The psychology piece here is like guys, we&#8217;re trying to teach you a sustainable lifestyle. Well, that&#8217;s the funny thing about this is I&#8217;m (Dr. Jay) actually not teaching anybody sustainable lifestyle. I just want it to be a diet for this study.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;21:00&#8243;] I don&#8217;t think people need to carry on forever, some people will want to, and it will be beneficial for them. But most importantly, from my perspective, is I want to see some data, you know, I want to see how their telomeres change. That&#8217;s kind of the foundation of this study, but we&#8217;re also doing blood work before and after, and then we can translate that into people that really need it. We can say okay, this is a good diet for people or a lifestyle for people that have autoimmune problems. i.e. Anna Vocino the co-host of Fitness Confidential who lives with Celiac Disease. She&#8217;s the author of the Eat Happy Cookbook.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;22:50&#8243;] Is it plants or is it possibly the chemicals that could be still within the plant because even in the organic craze, they&#8217;ve now created organically approved herbicides and chemicals to keep bugs off. Everybody thinks organic means chemical free. You have to read the fine print. Our tissue is very similar to other animals. So if we&#8217;re eating animals, that&#8217;s not that much different. Plants have a completely different cell wall structure. They&#8217;ve got all these different proteins, just just myriad of different components in our bodies. So the biggest problem is because we all seem to have leaky gut these days. A lot of people punch holes in their guts with these chemicals that you&#8217;re talking about. And it&#8217;s called intestinal permeability.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;25:00&#8243;]&nbsp;Your immune system is smart enough to know, hey, I can&#8217;t. I&#8217;m not going to destroy red meat.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;25:59&#8243;] Branched-chain amino acid are like Lego. If you&#8217;ve got a chain of 20 Legos or a hundred Legos, those go through your intestine. Your intestine is supposed to break those down into single Lego blocks. If people are getting leaky gut, these massive chunks of protein are going into your blood. That triggers your immune system.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;27:05&#8243;]&nbsp;So red meat is very recognizable. It&#8217;s very similar to your body, the components in red meat are similar to components in your body. It&#8217;s got protective factors that are concentrated that you don&#8217;t find in plants. The current research is not for people eating 100% meat. That&#8217;s what I&#8217;m really trying to set up, is I want to answer questions like what happens to your testosterone? What happens to your blood sugar? What happens to your inflammatory markers?</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;27:05&#8243;] Carnosine, it&#8217;s the protein building block that is naturally produced in the body. It is found in muscles when they are working. It&#8217;s also found in the heart, brain and many other parts of the body. So, we already have Carnosine present.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;30:00&#8243;] So advanced glycation end products is when you basically have too much sugar around and it starts sticking to proteins. That causes all kinds of health problems.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;35:00&#8243;] Coming back to the carnivores diet what I&#8217;m setting out to do is have people do 90 days. Before they start it, I want them to be omnivores, and I want them to test their telomeres.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;40:00&#8243;] Scott considers going full Carnivore for this study.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;41:15&#8243;] The most important thing is you have to take the telomere test before and after. I don&#8217;t make any money from that company or anything like that.</li>

<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;44:36&#8243;] It is a pretty hardcore study. You know, it&#8217;s not for the faint of heart.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;45:17&#8243;] The problem with most dietary studies is people are eating all kinds of stuff. Scientists make these conclusions, but they&#8217;re an inaccurate conclusion. That&#8217;s the problem with the whole vegetarian diet, all the studies with the vegetarians versus people eating meat, people are eating fish or whatever, it&#8217;s so messy. Now, some of those people are smoking, they&#8217;re drinking too. They&#8217;re doing all kinds of different things that throws all the studies off. It&#8217;s a nutrition epidemiological study.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;48:30&#8243;] So people can eat organs on the study. Mountain lions would be excluded because the meat is white, and I would exclude pork because the meat is white. I would exclude birds because the meat is white for the most part just to make it easy for people understand.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;54:19&#8243;] I personally think the Carnivore Diet is going to be extremely beneficial for people with autoimmune problems or inflammation problems. I can&#8217;t hundred percent prove that, we don&#8217;t have the studies, but that&#8217;s where I see the potential. Who knows, there might be a potential in 10 different areas that we don&#8217;t even know about right now. Hopefully this study will allow me to get funding to do follow-up studies and in the future we can actually pay people to participate. Things like intensive research like bloodwork. Like for example, I want to test testosterone receptor number.</li>
