<p>18:45 – Now we can use the technology on ourselves. That is just a major shift in the power in the healthcare system, where you take the power from the hospitals and the doctors and the different practitioners and you put it into your own hand. You have control with the wearables, with smart watches, with smart rings like <a href="https://ouraring.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Oura</a>. Keeping track of the heart rate, your pattern of movement, the temperatures and your oxygen levels that these can track, and you get the control of your health.&nbsp;</p>
<p>30:45 – According to Whoop, like the <a href="https://www.whoop.com/us/en/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Whoop</a> band on my on my right arm here, they are gathering health information from their users. By far, the worse stresser is alcohol, and that is what I used to drink. I was thinking it was calming me down, helping me to sleep, but the sleep is just terrible under the influence of alcohol. </p>
<p>01:02:00 – I have some of the grounding aka earthing topic in my book that is out now in Norway, called The Rest Cure. Discussing stress, it&#8217;s about exercise, it&#8217;s about sleep, it&#8217;s about active rest, how you can calm yourself down. That seems to be the hardest thing for people. So that is why my publisher wanted a book only on the rest part of The Pulse Cure. That actually became a larger book than The Post Cure on 250 pages exploring how you can rest and what you do with the wearables so you can measure your rest. You may be thinking that you&#8217;re resting, but the wearable health tech will show that you have either been eating something you cannot tolerate, or you have been stressing so much that your body can&#8217;t get into the parasympathetic state, even if you think you&#8217;re relaxing. So that is why it&#8217;s important to also have this measurable rest that you can see on your watches or rings that your heart rate is in the parasympathetic mode. </p>

<p>06:30 – It&#8217;s just crazy how much money they&#8217;re making. But one thing that did not work was liposomal glutathione, and it doesn&#8217;t work on me. I said, wait a second, I was getting results, but not getting results for everything, not for all my patients.</p>
<p>10:35 – I started looking at the research, and I figured out that in 1991 there was a study done. It&#8217;s published in the in the NIH, now on the PubMed, so it&#8217;s all over the place, that they give two grams of IV push, of glutathione, 100% of glutathione was in the urine in five to fifteen minutes. </p>
<p>19:15 – The body is absorbing it, breaking it down, taking all the building blocks and producing its own glutathione. Now, if you have a gene mutation, gstp, gstm or GGT, if you have enzyme defects, you cannot conjugate glutathione. I don&#8217;t care what product you take. </p>
<p>37:18 – So that&#8217;s the reason why glutathione is so important to everybody to keep this door shut at all times on the bad. But now, if you shut the door down and there is a damage inside your body, you still have to fix the damages. You still have to eat the right nutrients and do the right things, or people do stem cells therapy, or people do all kinds of things to basically get all the dirt ready. Yeah, once the dirt is ready and dumped into the liver, guess what, glutathione can go back and take the dirt and get rid of it too.</p>
<p>52:00 – So for healthy subjects, we find out what the dose was going to be. It started after we released the product in 2020, then we found out that many of the people, they are sick, they need higher glutathione. So a year later is when we released the stronger version. So the stronger version is good for people that have high needs of glutathione, and it&#8217;s just a temporary need. Anyways, they use it for three months, six months, up to a year, year and a half, and then they go back to the regular version for rest of their life. Keep in mind, the body recycles things. 50% of glutathione gets recycled by the body, which is due to oxidative stress. If it&#8217;s conjugation, the body gets destroyed. The body destroys all the glutathione. If you drink alcohol, all the glutathione is destroyed. </p>
<p>56:30 – So you can quit alcohol today. You can help heal, you can aid your body. It takes some help with glutathione to kind of do the work for liver until the liver gets healthy, but in 12 to 15 months, you can literally improve your liver health to go back to normal as best as possible again, which is essential for long term health. </p>

<p>I have created this thing, not for my personal growth. It&#8217;s to help serve mankind. <p>13:10 – Out of this vaporized graphite, you&#8217;re probably getting 80-90% of this molecule. The reality is, we&#8217;re getting 90% amorphous carbon junk and 10% of fullerenes. This ESS60 molecule is one of the most abundant fullerenes. So it&#8217;s a very inefficient process, then you got to isolate it, and then you turn it into ESS60, which is the process for people and pets. That&#8217;s when the kind of supplement side of things starts. You actually mix it in vats, in olive oil, to get it to dissolve, because the molecules are not water soluble. You need a fat based element like EVOO. </p>
<p>21:30 – It is six carbon molecules, with a ring shape. So six carbon molecules, when it&#8217;s alone, it&#8217;s a carcinogen and toxic to us. So it&#8217;s known to be toxic, known to be a carcinogen. So they thought this molecule would be toxic, and they put it in that toxicity study. In that study, they used Wistar Rats as the subjects. In this case, they gave one group water, one group olive oil, and then one group olive oil with as much of the ESS60 molecule as they could get to dissolve in it. Instead of being toxic, the test subjects that they gave the ESS60 formula lived 90% longer than the control group. So a full 90% extension of life in Wistar rats, peer reviewed, published research. You can imagine, that&#8217;s the thing that changed us from being happy go lucky, carbon nanomaterial scientists. </p>
<p>47:15 – In that original study, they did a very interesting thing. My actually Director of Research said, at one point. This could have been five separate papers, because there&#8217;s so much stuff in it. One of the things was they injected a group of rats, so not the main rats that live 90% longer, but some group of rats, they injected them with carbon tetrachloride. This is a poison that causes Oxidative Stress to the liver. And so each of the rat groups, the ones given water, the ones given olive oil, their livers did not repair recover from this injection. It was the ESS60 in olive oil that those rats livers were on the mend. They did euthanize all the rats and check out their livers. It was only the ESS60 rats whose livers had repaired themselves. </p>

<p>02:00 – Headaches are a hot subject for me, I got into it bcause of my headaches and my my lust for performance. I was a natural bodybuilder at the time and I&#8217;d get pounding headaches every time I did bench press.</p>
<p>10:30 – If the pec or clavicular muscle is not firing properly, we look at stomach function. If they have a low back pain in the flank area, we look at large intestine function. So when we we identify what the primary weakness is, and that&#8217;s the beauty of of headaches for me, I&#8217;ll circle back to that. But again, every muscle has associated organs. When we find these organ dysfunctions, these weaknesses, then we look at, is it a structural need or structural compromise that&#8217;s compromised in the muscle?</p>
<p>15:10 – It could be that you&#8217;re drinking your water out of a plastic bottle and you&#8217;re getting the estrogenic effects from from the plastics. It&#8217;s because at one of those pathways in the liver, we were just referring to, like your glutathione pathway. Maybe that&#8217;s not breaking the hormones down properly and it&#8217;s setting you up for this type of headache. So I would suspect when you&#8217;re currently on your your glutathione products, that you&#8217;re proably going to be a lot less likely to have those types of headaches. </p>
<p>26:15 – We want to keep the keep the toxic metals out, which means pesticides and that sort of stuff. So eating the organic vegetables, getting those, you know, grains are all adulterated. They have that Roundup influence, the glyphosate in there that compromises gallbladder function, which is why the right sided headache is the most common type of headache in America. </p>
<p>37:15 – When we&#8217;re stuck in that state, then we get the frontal headaches. We have compromised the stomach lining. You know, cortisol is a catabolic hormone, ultimately, and which means it breaks the body down. It&#8217;s going to break down muscle. So certainly, when we&#8217;re over training, we&#8217;re breaking down muscle. We need to then heal up and recover properly. So that frontal headache means that you&#8217;re not managing that, the body&#8217;s not managing the stress hormones properly, and it&#8217;s going to manifest as a frontal. </p>

<p>It&#8217;s about changing the way people perceive health and what their body is trying to tell them pain is, I mean, with the applied kinesiology that the approach to healthcare that I use, it&#8217;s very, very, very evident that every, not you know, fibromyalgia, is 25 different pain patterns, or you know, different things like that, every not tells a story. So my I&#8217;m here to try to empower you the listener, to listen to what that pain is telling you. Any I mean, upper trap tension is typically a blood sugar problem, tent pain and the weakness and weak, weakness on the side of the neck, blood sugar feeding yeast, and that&#8217;ll manifest as sacroiliac pain, or low back, you know, tailbone kind of pain. So all of those have it tell a story, and I made it my, my life&#8217;s mission to, you know, any you know, Scott points to somewhere, you know here, I know, okay, that&#8217;s a lung issue, oh, that&#8217;s a gallbladder issue, that&#8217;s an adrenal issue, and I can go right to it, and then then there&#8217;s specific food triggers or lifestyle issues that are going to cause that. </p>
<p>So my whole thing, my my MO at this point, my legacy is listen to your body. It&#8217;s trying to tell you a story and be your own advocate. To identify what that is. Quality of life goes up, you know, the quantity of years. But even more importantly, the quality of those years exponentially changes. I&#8217;ve often said the best practice management tool I could have would be a crystal ball, you know. You know, Scott, you quit eating, you know, sugar, sugar and grains. This is how you&#8217;re, you know, you&#8217;re going to look in feel in 80 years. You know, you quit eating, you keep eating your sugar and grains. This is how you&#8217;re going to look and feel if you make it another 30 years, you know. So I mean, that would be the best motivating tool we could have. But pain is, is kind of that crystal ball to help us understand, oops, these choices are compromising my health. So let&#8217;s learn from them. Let&#8217;s be our best advocate that&#8217;s going to inspire their doctors. You know, the listener, your doctor, is going to potentially shift their paradigm as they recognize you figuring these things out. Then they&#8217;re going to tell the next person you know, hey, just you know, Scott quit eating sugar, and his neck pain went away. What about you?</p>

<p>25:00 – The foundation of IZOD is in the definition, it stands for &#8220;In The Zone On Demand&#8221;. Because most of us have experienced being in the zone, but for most of us, it was by chance.</p>

They&#8217;re just living a life, but not their life. So we need to wake them up. It&#8217;s for people to really start using their common sense.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve been told so many things. There&#8217;s so much propaganda out there, but just step back and go deep inside of yourself and learn some basics. We didn&#8217;t talk about those because there&#8217;s so many things we can talk about, but there&#8217;s so many fundamentals that don&#8217;t cost any money to upgrade that body and that mind of yours. <p>Brandon Trean was homeschooled most of his entire life by two awesome parents. He had wild health issues from mercury intoxication, to 8 lung collapses (one he almost died from laughing to death and had his life flash before his eyes). A year of throwing up nearly every day and coming down to intense malnutrition states at a young age, to now dealing with a gut issue that was deemed as sepsis back on March 15th, 2014. Needless to say, Brandon has been deeply educated by this inner teacher to this day. Nose bleeds that required cauterization multiple times, sleep paralysis, unique meditation experiences, etc.</p>
<p>I started my practice (massage/bodywork &amp; nutritional studio) when I was 24 years old with $15K in debt even at the counter advice of other business comrades. I&#8217;ve only ever had one job prior to this which was a fun management position with a movie store. A lot of auspiciousness throughout my life, meeting the right people at the right times leading to more accumulating evidence that living by intuition has served me well. I think if I have something to offer to your groovy podcast series, it is simply resilience of mind in the face of seemingly insurmountable physical &amp; mental disease states. Essentially mindset and how I have forged an optimism that is my north star in multiple circumstances that ought to have killed me (some 14 close calls with death).</p>
<p>I have other projects I want to offer to the world (Dappurr Cat, Immortal Inquiry, etc.) but the current health circumstance I am facing (some 220+ experiments over 3 years to attempt to correct and understand said pathology(s) has been a constant reminder that I must keep my health as my chief focus at this current time. I have interesting business marketing ideas that I have implemented over the years that have worked well in attracting my peoples as it were. I recently began a (what I call Ninja Fundraiser) opportunity for organizations that I think would do best in receiving more monetary gain. So I donate my services to raise money for select groups in this Ninja Fundraiser style which goes beyond my Body Epiphanies branding project.</p>

<p>The key to fitness, health and wellness are <strong>sleep</strong>. With poor sleep comes poor foundations. With poor foundations, we cannot build. Everything will come crashing down. People through time have worn a lack of sleep, due to hustle and getting stuff done, as a badge of honor. It&#8217;s time to put to bed that misconception with Episode 44 and our co-host <strong>Kevin Cottrell</strong> of <a href="http://fitfluentialradio.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fitfluentialradio.com</a>&nbsp;and the <a href="http://www.healthcastnow.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">HealthCast Now Podcast</a>. Kevin found out the hard way. Through poor lifestyle and environmental choices, Kevin developed a Melanoma Cancer. Although he was a fit guy, his fitness was built upon a foundation of poor sleep. Kevin made critical lifestyle choices and is now healthier than ever. This episode is about the importance of sleep and lifestyle choices.</p>

<h2>On This Episode You Will Hear:</h2>

<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;01:22&#8243;] Kevin left College in the 80&#8217;s, he went back to where he grew up in the Palo Alto area. Kevin got involved in a number of startups in the 90&#8217;s, he was the typical Biz Dev Executive working 80-90 hours, traveling excessively, not getting enough sleep but he worked out every day. He thought he was on track. Then came the late 90&#8217;s into 2001 and the Dot Com crash. He had stock options on a startup that went public. The shares went from $100 a share to $1 a share in 60 days. An inner layer of stress started to form. Kevin was a guy, during that period of his life that thought sleep was overrated. As long as he kept working out things would be OK. Moving forward to the summer of 2006, Kevin had a mole removed, just a straight forward procedure. He gets a calling saying he needs an emergency procedure to remove some skin from his neck as he has a pretty serious Melanoma (Type of Skin Cancer).</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;03:55&#8243;] One of the things Kevin got really good at as an Executive was when lots of drama and chaos comes up, Leadership and Executives fall into one of two camps, they are either a problem solver or you are part of the problem and chaos. Kevin had developed quite a good reputation as a problem solver so he began systematically asking questions at the Doctors office about the problem. He kept a level head despite the stress surging through his body.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;06:02&#8243;] At the point in time Kevin had the Cancer, he had the belief the Cancer was to do with family history but he came to find out since then it was much more to do with his lifestyle that put him at risk than it was any family history.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;07:33&#8243;] In 2009 Kevin was known as &#8216;Fat Kevin&#8217;. Now he wasn&#8217;t obese, but he looked obese. He was heavier and started to trend towards type 2 diabetes. This was from following the conventional advice from the Doctors. He was back to working out at four in the morning five times a week. He wasn&#8217;t getting enough sleep and was starting to move towards a different direction from a lifestyle stand point. He knew something was not right still. After listing to a Podcast about the Paleo Diet, Kevin knew he had to start looking into it. It wasn&#8217;t about the diet he was interested in, it was the lifestyle concept. A Doctor Friend, Dr. Jack Kruse, challenged him to go look at the incidents of melanoma and look at the further you are from the equator are the incidents. Kevin started to change his lifestyle. He began to focus on sleep and getting a healthy dose of sunlight. What happened was he got really healthy. His blood marker ratings went from a 6 to less than 1. He dramatically reduced the inflammation in his body. All by changing his environment and his lifestyle.</li>

<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;13:38&#8243;]&nbsp;Key Bio Markers,&nbsp;BUN to Creatinine Ratio,&nbsp;Blood Marker for Inflammation. Vitamin D levels. If you are in an environment where you have way too much blue light, you are indoors way too much, you can take Vitamin D Supplements or even Sun outside and remarkably our bodies do not react.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;16:28&#8243;] Kevin takes fewer supplements now. He concentrates on core lifestyle changes. Getting out and getting sunlight. Anchoring his Circadian rhythm.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;19:52&#8243;] Sleep is something we do have control over. The fastest way to wreck yourself is not to get enough sleep but also hormonally wack yourself by not sleeping correctly based on the light cycle.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;22:00&#8243;] Melatonin Production. Coincidences of low Melatonin and chronic diseases. Stop playing Russian Roulette with sleep. You can whack your Melatonin in a number of different ways. The first is not sleeping enough and not sleeping at the right times.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;24:50&#8243;] Your body needs to recover. Building a building or building a house. If your light/dark cycle and Circadian rhythm is out, you should be working our less, it is the quickest way to burnout. True health and wellness is built on the foundation of good sleep and good nutrition.</li>
<li>[spp-timestamp time=&#8221;33:12&#8243;] Focus on your foundation. Be clean. Eat real food that is nutrient dense. But if you are having problems focusing on the circadian alignment. Do some of the non-intuitive things, take a look at some of your lifestyle choices, are you poisoning yourself with blue light at night or are you falling asleep with the TV on in the bedroom or are your blood markers showing you have massive inflammation, focus on that then come back and look at your workouts. Workout less more is not better.</li>

This is not only for health and wellness but also the dark side meaning, chronic diseases, and potentially early death. You should be focusing on optimizing our lifestyle and environment. <p>Don&#8217;t fall prey to the argument of, I am going to just eat more healthy or exercise more because if the foundations are destroyed it is not going to work.
