Who is COLE HATTER?

Hey, what’s up! My name is Cole Hatter, and this is the part where I tell you what makes me…me.

Growing up I always knew I wanted to do something important with my life. I did not want to sneak through life unnoticed and arrive at my grave safely; I wanted to shake things up, make a difference, matter, be remembered, and have a blast while doing it. I believe most people would like to live a life that looks something like that.

So, I decided to become a firefighter. What better way to give back, make a difference, and live a meaningful life than a career serving others? Unfortunately that dream was cut short by 2 accidents 2 months apart that left me in a wheel chair. Based on my injuries at that time, firefighting was out.

My body was physically broken, my heart emotionally broken, and my bank account…it was “broke” too.

Out of desperation and an uncertain future, I pursued entrepreneurship. Fast forward a few years, and I’ve started several multimillion dollar businesses, I’m living what others tell me is a dream life, and sure enough, it’s the life I dreamed of having. It’s important to know how to make the kind of money you’ve always dreamed of making, but it’s more important to not sacrifice actually living your life while you do it.

Being rich financially is meaningless if you’re bankrupt emotionally, spiritually, in your relationships, and in your purpose.

Who is LEGACY PEREZ?

I remember as if it were yesterday, dancing on the streets of Miami for donations.

Can you imagine watching a dance film and blindly thinking that one day You could be in a movie, so you decide to leave Miami with 240 dollars, running out of gas in New Orleans, having to street perform for money to continue the journey to LA and then arriving and almost getting arrested in Santa Monica (needing a permit to street perform) then finding your way into every night club trying to find the major choreographers to battle. Being recognized for the effort and getting hired to be in “Step Up 3”

And countless other movies as well as touring with Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey and every major artist still active, making it into the top 2% of highest paid professional dancers.

Thats a dream, more so a dream come true!

Here’s how this relates to you, everyone has a dream and there are principles to achieve this dream of YOURS.

I believe strongly with every ounce of my being that knowing the right time and getting out of your own way, as well as , giving yourself permission and coupled with a definite purpose (a clearly defined dream) and developing a burning 🔥🔥🔥 DESIRE for its Achievement is the exact thought process you can adopt in order to find yourself as the person you are intended to become.

This is what I did, and I have done it with every area of my life, and I believe that Movement is the key, and behind the movement is what’s important, YOUR “Why”.

We are all ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

I’ve built everything from the ground up. But I built it with a team. There’s no one I’ve ever met in my life that made all their money and all their success, like literally in their basement other house, like stitching things together and selling it on the internet without anybody doing anything for themselves. Choosing the right team is super important. Putting yourself in the right space to meet people who will bring you to the next level is also important.

So when you go to an event, like Thrive, you have the ability to meet people that are like-minded. I think it was in a book, what was it How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. He says, if he lost all his money and all his wealth, what you would do is just go to an event or somewhere where people congregate that have that had like minds and wanted to achieve high results. As almost as if it were magic, he said, he’d get his wealth back.

So let me just start with this because for anybody who’s not doing real estate, they might say oh, this is the part of the show I’m going to tune out, because real estate’s not my thing. I think every single human on Earth should buy and hold real estate I do not think every single human on Earth should buy, fix, and flip real estate as an active income source for a career. I think that some people are to risk adverse and just quite frankly don’t have the thickness of skin required for this industry. Instead of putting money in a freakin CD at .25% you should buy and hold real estate.
[spp-timestamp time=”23:00″] Cole agrees on 95 to 97% of real estate strategies with Grand Cardone, that 3-5% is Grant’s commercial focus. I became a millionaire investing in residential real estate. What if people are happy, they like that whole, you know, three to five, three to 10 type unit stuff.

Legacy’s final message today:

Quoting, Philip McKernan, “Your real legacy is what you give the world as opposed to what you leave the world.” Constantly working hard to achieve whatever goals you wanna do and knowing that it’s possible. There are people left and right that don’t have the things people out there have. For the ability to do what you wanna do and just apply yourself. Find what you’re really good at, what you enjoy, what you’ve been doing for a really long time, find that certainty that you do it with and apply it to whaterver new venture you wanna do. Put your head down and just keep drilling, keep working, and that’s what I’ve done and that I know works. I believe that if anybody does this, I’m not anyone special, constantly go to work and that success will creep in. You’ll start to see that light at the end of the tunnel.

All of us out there have it, some just have a bunch of curtains covering the light that we truly have inside. The ability to let go and open up, is up to each and every one of us.

Cole’s final message today:

Stemming off of Legacy’s strong words. Regardless of your religious beliefs, whether you believe you were reincarnated, or that you have eternal life in heaven, or that you believe that you die and become dead and that’s the end of your story. We can all agree that the life we are living right now does end. So I want to remind people that “this is our one at bat”. The thing I see is that people aren’t afraid of failure, people just never get started. People say, for example, oh we are already in August so I’m going to finish this year and start what I always wanted to do this January. They’ve been saying that since 1998. So I’m just going to encourage people that life is short, life is precious, life is fragile, I’ve almost died a few times, I’ve lost people, and I have a really strong appreciation for how fragile life is. Some people go through life without any of those neardeath experiences or without any real huge loss in their lives, and they assume they have forever and that they’ll get to it someday. So on the back of what Legacy just said, I’ll had one more little thought, don’t hear that and say, he’s right and someday I will. Do It Now!

This is your shot, this is your one at bat. To use that baseball analagy or metaphor, some people get to that bat and they are just hoping to get walked. There are literally people that won’t swing at anything and they’re just praying to god, come on four balls and let me get on base through a walk. I’m not going to go down in history as the guy that was praying for a walk, I’m going to swing and I’ll either go down swinging or I’ll walk off with a grand slam. I encourage everyone to “Swing For The Fences”!

What Stefano wants… is for people to know…

That you can do whatever it is you want to do! Whatever fears you have about other people, whatever other people think about them, whatever other people think about what they’re capable of doing or not, being afraid of failure, whatever the stories are…

If you have some desire to create something for yourself, if you have any sort of vision whatsoever, you don’t need it to be specific! Stefano can help you with it, other people can help you with that path. But if you feel you’re called to something greater and bigger than yourself, listen to that calling, there’s a reason why you feel that! It’s not just random!

Stefano believes that we are given any inspiration from something that is greater than us. To deny that, to get stuck in your head, to come up with all these excuses why you can’t… you are denying the reason you are put on this earth. You are denying your purpose and you are denying yourself from living a truly fulfilling, authentic, and purpose-driven life!

Connecting with the ReInvestors’ Randy Molland and THRIVE Make Money Matter in Las Vegas:

After losing a brother at the age of 3, Randy and his family became very passionate about the saying “Family means more than money”. His father gave up the company he created and decided he was more dedicated to being there for his 2 remaining boys then he was about building wealth. Because of the family first lifestyle Randy found himself always wanting to help people and be a leader, but always knew that all though money didn’t make you happier, it was something that he was going to have to work for if he wanted it.

At just a young age of 16, Randy set out 3 ambitious goals for himself. They were to complete his red seal journeyman ticket in electrical, buy a full-size truck, and buy a house all by the age of 25, “The American Drea”. He was able to accomplish all those goals a year ahead of schedule just after his 24th Birthday. Unfortunately things cant stay glorious forever, just 3 weeks after getting possession of his house, he lost his best friend and electrical mentor in a job site accident! Instead of losing faith in the world, Randy took this opportunity to make a change in his life and start living it to the fullest. It became his life’s mission to help others start living a more fulfilled life and enjoying the time they have by creating different streams of passive income to do activities they are passionate about!

Since the accident, Randy has founded multiple companies, his biggest being a real estate investment company. By showing people that you can take one of the most tragic incidents in life, and turn it into one of the most powerful movements ever, Randy is hoping to help spread his word and show people that with the right mindset and attitude you can accomplish anything you dream of!

Randy found Cole Hatter on a podcast and fell in love with his story as it was similar to his own. Our co-host today was a professional firefighter for 12 years. Shane Kidwell worked at the busiest station on the west coast. While working in his dream job, he was injured and left with chronic back pain. That lifestyle transition helped him realize that he needed something to fall back on. So Shane began working in the mortgage business part-time. Last year he took the leap, retired early from the fire department (at 34 years old) and began his own branch and team. During Shane’s first year fully retired, their team did $70,000,000 in production and he made more money in one year doing this than he would have in 8 years as a fireman. Shane is now growing his team locally, as well as nationwide. He has spoken at business seminars and coaching summits for some of the nations top loan officers. Shane also has a 12 part webinar series beginning in September with 4 other high producing loan officer/branch managers. On this episode, we bring you another co-host that I had the pleasure of meeting at this years THRIVE: Make Money Matter. This gentleman has been presenting and speaking on stage since the age of seven. We discuss his expertise on love, relationships and how to dig deeper into who we are. We discuss the key points to lifestyle and how to tie all the LIVETHEFUEL domains together. P.J. finds a way to do the things he wants to do despite his limitations. Bringing the wisdom today on this episode is P.J Dixon!

On This Episode You Will Hear:

[spp-timestamp time=”02:44″] PJ has a rare form of MS (Muscular Dystrophy). Such a rare form that it should have taken his life at the age of Seven. This year he turned 47.
[spp-timestamp time=”04:09″] Getting into Martial Arts. PJ has a pretty severe curvature of the spine and has limited movement in his arms and fingers since 2001. He had to find a way to use his body in other ways in Martial Arts.

He uses his manual wheelchair as a metaphor, he could switch to an electric wheelchair but in his wisdom he see’s that as giving up.

You have the power. You have the ability to step up into your life in a way that makes an impact that changes people around you. When they look at you, you want to be doing things that inspire other people. If you are quiet and shy or just want to listen, that’s okay. You can do it on the side from a simple email to somebody, letting them know you care. Start by caring for yourself, start by loving yourself, start by identifying who you are and what you were born to do. That may not have anything to do with an actual career; it may have something to do with a passion you have. It doesn’t matter what other people think. What matters is what you were born to do. Listen to your soul integrity. What is the one thing you were meant and need to do? Let’s start there.

028: THRIVE, Fish Out of Water & Social Media Makeover

Our Fish Out of Water co-host today is a Best-selling Author, Keynote Speaker, Social Media Entrepreneur and contributor to multiple online blogs. Finding your, ‘Why’ is not enough. Sometimes you need that something extra to push you over the edge. You have to keep fueling the fire to keep it alive. You don’t want to get ten years down the road and find the fire has been extinguished. Proving the impossible is possible is this episodes co-host.

At the beginning of 2015, he quit his corporate job, moved to California and began to reinvent himself. He wondered what life would be like in ten years if he didn’t fuel the fire of entrepreneurship inside of him. Not liking what he saw, Calvin Wayman pursued self-development and attended the “THRIVE: Make Money Matter” event in 2015. This changed his life forever. He has achieved quite a lot in the past year reinventing himself. He is now the founder & CEO at CobbesMedia, Author of Fish Out of Water, Writer at Social Media Examiner, The Huffington Post and at Entrepreneur Magazine. Reinvention never stops.

On This Episode You Will Hear:

[spp-timestamp time=”02:01″] Calvin quit his job in early 2015 and attended Thrive later that year. Thrive gave Calvin a massive boost. He was finally around people like himself.
[spp-timestamp time=”03:50″] Calvin met somebody at Thrive who told him how to write for Entrepreneur Magazine. At the time of the Thrive event in 2015 the only thing he felt he had to offer was his knowledge on the live platform Periscope. He bagged his first client at the event, Tai Lopez who decided to buy his course.
[spp-timestamp time=”04:45″] The guy he met about Entrepreneur magazine was called Jeff Woods,
[spp-timestamp time=”05:44″] The first article he submitted to Entrepreneur Mag was about Periscope and it was rejected. After that Calvin thought, editors don’t want to read the whole article, they don’t have time to. So he decided to create an article pitch of the just the title and four super simple bullet points. Instead of just sending one, he sent three at once so they could pick which one they wanted.
[spp-timestamp time=”07:44″] Because he had already written for Entrepreneur Magazine Calvin found it easy to get into Huffington Post. He emailed them linking to his articles.
[spp-timestamp time=”08:28″] Social Media Examiner was the tough one to write for. They have a very strict entrance process. You have to send in three articles from three other places you have written for. It has to be around the topic you want to write about.
[spp-timestamp time=”09:28″] Calvin is from Utah. To shake up the norm he quit his day job and moved to Southern California and started to sell solar energy door to door, to shake off any feeling of being an employee that he might of developed. A mentor told him if you can do four months of Door to Door you probably can do pretty much anything.
[spp-timestamp time=”11:38″] Door to Door sales for him was one of the most gut wrenching, anxious, depressive things he has ever done in his entire life but he would not change it for anything because it taught him so much.
[spp-timestamp time=”12:38″] The Quarter Life Crisis. Calvin projected himself ten years into the future and thought, what if nothing has changed? And it scared him. He had this flame inside of him to go create something. But what if that flame inside of him dies, the wants and desires to be an entrepreneur dies.
[spp-timestamp time=”16:36″] What can you do to keep fueling the fire? Do you. Do what makes you happy. But never regret. You only regret the things you don’t do.
[spp-timestamp time=”18:58″] At this turning point, Calvin was married, had a one year old son and had $33k in debt.

You have got to realize you can create Roger Banister effects in all areas of your life.

Roger Bannister in 1954 was the first guy to run a four minute mile. For decades people tried to run a four minute mile but ultimately failed. It became well accepted that no human being could ever run a four minute mile. But then one person, Roger Banister did it. He made the impossible possible. The interesting part is, how long did his record breaking four minute mile last? Logic would say this could not be repeated. It took 46 days for it to be broken.

Once people see that it is possible, and that it can be done they can believe they can do it for themselves.

Done is better than perfect. Just do something.
