The hosts today discuss the common issue of headaches and the role of chiropractic care. Dr. Vrzal, a chiropractor with over 30 years of experience, shares his personal journey with headaches and his advocacy for drug-free, holistic solutions. He explains the seven specific headache patterns linked to various organs and the importance of listening to the body. Dr. V emphasizes the role of nutrition, supplementation, and stress management in maintaining health. He also highlights the limitations of traditional medicine and the benefits of functional medicine and biohacking. The conversation underscores the need for personal accountability in health and the value of integrative approaches. Dr. V discusses the connection between physical symptoms like upper trap tension and sacroiliac pain with underlying health issues such as blood sugar problems and yeast infections. They emphasize the importance of listening to one’s body and being an advocate for one’s health to improve quality of life. Dr. V suggests that if one were to see the future consequences of poor health choices, like eating sugar and grains, it would be a powerful motivator to change behavior. They also mention that certain foods, like corn, can trigger health problems like cortisol dumping and ovarian cysts. Scott agrees, noting the impact of inflammatory responses on joint pain and the importance of sharing health knowledge through their podcast. They both stress the significance of being proactive in health management and the enduring value of educational content.

Timestamped Show Notes:

02:00 – Headaches are a hot subject for me, I got into it bcause of my headaches and my my lust for performance. I was a natural bodybuilder at the time and I’d get pounding headaches every time I did bench press.

10:30 – If the pec or clavicular muscle is not firing properly, we look at stomach function. If they have a low back pain in the flank area, we look at large intestine function. So when we we identify what the primary weakness is, and that’s the beauty of of headaches for me, I’ll circle back to that. But again, every muscle has associated organs. When we find these organ dysfunctions, these weaknesses, then we look at, is it a structural need or structural compromise that’s compromised in the muscle?

15:10 – It could be that you’re drinking your water out of a plastic bottle and you’re getting the estrogenic effects from from the plastics. It’s because at one of those pathways in the liver, we were just referring to, like your glutathione pathway. Maybe that’s not breaking the hormones down properly and it’s setting you up for this type of headache. So I would suspect when you’re currently on your your glutathione products, that you’re proably going to be a lot less likely to have those types of headaches.

26:15 – We want to keep the keep the toxic metals out, which means pesticides and that sort of stuff. So eating the organic vegetables, getting those, you know, grains are all adulterated. They have that Roundup influence, the glyphosate in there that compromises gallbladder function, which is why the right sided headache is the most common type of headache in America.

37:15 – When we’re stuck in that state, then we get the frontal headaches. We have compromised the stomach lining. You know, cortisol is a catabolic hormone, ultimately, and which means it breaks the body down. It’s going to break down muscle. So certainly, when we’re over training, we’re breaking down muscle. We need to then heal up and recover properly. So that frontal headache means that you’re not managing that, the body’s not managing the stress hormones properly, and it’s going to manifest as a frontal.

01:00:00 – Final Words

Our Final Words of the Show:

It’s about changing the way people perceive health and what their body is trying to tell them pain is, I mean, with the applied kinesiology that the approach to healthcare that I use, it’s very, very, very evident that every, not you know, fibromyalgia, is 25 different pain patterns, or you know, different things like that, every not tells a story. So my I’m here to try to empower you the listener, to listen to what that pain is telling you. Any I mean, upper trap tension is typically a blood sugar problem, tent pain and the weakness and weak, weakness on the side of the neck, blood sugar feeding yeast, and that’ll manifest as sacroiliac pain, or low back, you know, tailbone kind of pain. So all of those have it tell a story, and I made it my, my life’s mission to, you know, any you know, Scott points to somewhere, you know here, I know, okay, that’s a lung issue, oh, that’s a gallbladder issue, that’s an adrenal issue, and I can go right to it, and then then there’s specific food triggers or lifestyle issues that are going to cause that.

So my whole thing, my my MO at this point, my legacy is listen to your body. It’s trying to tell you a story and be your own advocate. To identify what that is. Quality of life goes up, you know, the quantity of years. But even more importantly, the quality of those years exponentially changes. I’ve often said the best practice management tool I could have would be a crystal ball, you know. You know, Scott, you quit eating, you know, sugar, sugar and grains. This is how you’re, you know, you’re going to look in feel in 80 years. You know, you quit eating, you keep eating your sugar and grains. This is how you’re going to look and feel if you make it another 30 years, you know. So I mean, that would be the best motivating tool we could have. But pain is, is kind of that crystal ball to help us understand, oops, these choices are compromising my health. So let’s learn from them. Let’s be our best advocate that’s going to inspire their doctors. You know, the listener, your doctor, is going to potentially shift their paradigm as they recognize you figuring these things out. Then they’re going to tell the next person you know, hey, just you know, Scott quit eating sugar, and his neck pain went away. What about you?

Timestamped Show Notes:

00:30 – Introduction

10:00 – I never really took a lot of Tylenol, Aspirin, Advil, and all these brand names of anti-inflammatories that we all just take for granted. The fact that we just keep pumping them down our gullets is not okay. It throws everything off, as you know, 70% of our immune system is in our gut. Our body is dependent on the proper healthy gut biome alignment and the body has to be able to handle anything that comes.

21:30 – The most successful people out there can attest, if you’re not embracing change, or remaining open to the influence of possible change for growth, you’re not going to grow because you’re just staying stagnant. It’s like people are going to the MD day after day or week after week getting the same diagnosis. Then it becomes well, we haven’t tried this yet, so let’s try this drug and then let’s try that other drug, etc, etc.

30:00 – The wholistic side is definitely a big part of my business and brand because I believe healing is not just in one area. Chiropractic can’t heal everything. It definitely sets the body up for better healing, it can set up the process to happen more optimally than without chiropractic. But there’s also the nutritional factor and there is the physical factor the fitness and then definitely there’s the mental game where everything happens. First, your mindset and then the spiritual comes in as well. So just being able to be aware of that healing and living holistically unhealthy optimally has a lot of different spectrums to it.

44:00 – I like that broken wing concept. It’s something that I guess it’s a habit, but the mind is so powerful. It’s whatever you say and think that’s what’s going to happen and especially with your body. I always say when I’m talking in my workshops, there are different areas, your cells are always listening, your whole body, your muscles, to whatever you say.

52:50 – Final Words

Our Final Words of the Show:

Just thinking about Life, you know, holistically, taking it all in and letting it flow. Things have come to you and I believe in that the more that we allow our bodies to heal and you’re able to let down resistance, we’re able to think more clearly and set clear intentions. Really take care of ourselves in a radical type of way unapologetically. Things will just flow better and we don’t have to work as hard to chase as much or worry as much. Life wants to kind of flow for us and to us, so we have to set ourselves up for that.

I grew up on a farm in Southeastern Indiana, where my family worked hard to make ends meet. We raised beef cattle, crop farmed corn and soybeans, and even raised a garden from which we canned vegetables to preserve them for the winter. Chickens frequently ran around the barn lot, and I can remember climbing around on the stacks of hay with my sister to search for chicken eggs to be gathered for breakfast. There were seldom dull moments on the farm with the raising of animals, and it seemed like every week some pigs would escape from their makeshift fenced lot and make their way into the front yard, where they would root up the lawn with their noses, looking for fresh grub. This would generally turn into an eventful morning because we would have to turn the acre of sod back over and try to fit each piece back to where it came from, like piecing together a jigsaw puzzle. Tending to the farm was a never-ending job that consisted of grinding feed for the animals, baling and stacking hay for days on end, and endless hours behind the wheel of a tractor tilling the soil for planting.

Quote: “One of the biggest challenges that we face today regarding our health is the mixed emotions of who is responsible for it.” — Trent Mozingo Twitter: @MozingoDC

I am the youngest of four children; in order of oldest to youngest—Travis, Troy, Tiffany, and Trent (that’s me). As you can probably imagine, our names would get mixed up quite often. Travis and Troy are nine and seven years, respectively, older than me, and my sister Tiffany, is two years older. Tiffany and I grew up thick as thieves. We were always bouncing around the farm looking for adventures, probably a little spoiled because our older brothers were taking care of most of the grunt work of farm life. Travis and Troy were like mentors to me. I always wanted to be just like them, so I would spend as much time analyzing their every move as I could. Still to this day, I feel like the little brother that’s trying to follow in their footsteps.

Our parents allowed us a great deal of free-thinking growing up. We had strong principles such as “Work comes before play” and “Always help a neighbor in need.” These embraced our daily lives. It always seemed like farm life provided a lot more work than play, but looking back on the years of growing up, I can see how it’s how I got to this point of my life. There is no debate: hard work pays off. As I write this, I am nostalgic about the undeniable blessing that my life has received. Our parents were not hovering parents; they allowed and demanded us to take responsibility for our own actions. They also helped each of us build confidence within ourselves to take on the tasks that lay in front of us.

There were times that making ends meet were more difficult than others, but there was never a time that money was wasted on paying to do things that we could do ourselves. Ours was a small farm; that meant our equipment was old and not under warranty. When the tractor broke down, we had to fix it. When the lawnmower blades became dull, we had to sharpen them ourselves. When we wanted a treehouse, we had to build it.

The confidence that our parents instilled in us certainly started my brothers and me out on the right foot. I can remember, as a small child, lying on the dirt floor of our barn holding a wrench for Travis or Troy as they worked to put a new axle into the back of our combine harvester. That was so they could make it a four-wheel-drive machine instead of two-wheel. During the harvest season that year, it rained constantly, turning our fields into a muddy mess. Without four-wheel drive, our combine would have been unable to reap the crops; thousands of dollars would have been lost.

We had no formal education on mechanics. We had no teacher to explain how to do mechanical things. John Deere mechanics were not there to help us. We were gifted the opportunity to figure out on our own how things worked, and we had no choice but to do it. This started for each of us at a young age. I was lucky to be able to piggyback on my brothers’ already unbridled ability to diagnose what was wrong with something by learning the principles of how it worked. I can assure you this: if you want to know how to fix things, you have to know how it works.

You don’t know your full potential until you have no choice but to fulfill it. There were times that our wood splitter was inoperative and we needed wood to burn in the stove of our home to stay warm in the winter. We had to fix it. There were times that the corn planter was not applying the correct amount of seed. We had to fix it. There were times when a cow was struggling to birth the calf. We had to help. There were times that the hay baler would not tie the strings properly to secure the bale. We had to figure it out. As the years passed, it became apparent that the hands-on approach to learning how things work provided a strong database of mechanical knowledge for my brothers and me.

We acquired a strong understanding of how things worked. We came across machines on which we had never worked before, and we just applied our ingrained logical thinking. Thus, the easier it became for us to understand how to fix things.

Timestamped Show Notes:

00:30: Introduction

10:00: I knew you and I would geek out about farming. But I think it’s interesting how a tie is ties back to a healthy lifestyle, weight management, nutrition, and lifestyle. What does DC mean to you? Doctor of Chiropractic.

20:15: There’s a ton of value in massage therapy alone. 80% of the patients see massage therapy in my office as well.

30:30: You seem to be pretty headstrong human. That’s a pretty important thing for overcoming stress. It’s very important to overcome anything. A lot of patients find some sort of satisfaction or relief from being diagnosed with something because then it takes away some of the stress. It takes away their responsibility.

40:00: It’s a preservative. It’s a sugar byproduct. It’s corn syrup.

49:50: What I touch on is their perception in the medical world, which is what a doctor hasn’t told you because they see it backwards. They see everything backwards. They have studies released that eating eggs is comparable to smoking cigarette, no it doesn’t make any sense. They have studies that says being overweight can cause heartburn or acid reflux. By the way, that study about the cigarettes thing was from a vegan doctor who has just been outed this year, that he actually never completed his doctorate.

01:04:16: Final Words

Our Final Words of the Show:

The most important thing is to take responsibility for your health. You’re the only one, no one should be more excited about your health than you are. Once you get excited about it, there’s a lot of really good answers out there. Now it’s this movement to whole food health that’s really changing a lot. There’s not a single person that I know, that I’ve ever treated, that made 100% of the right choices. They’ve come in and they’ve had a week that went by that was stressful, terrible traveling, whatever it was, but we get back on the horse. They clean it up again and then they just kind of watch their health get better.

Final Words:

Someone doesn’t have to be formally trained in something to apply it to life. I think that a lot of people think that I’m not an evolutionary biologist. You’re not traditionally trained in nutrition, but our life experience has given us the knowledge to apply that to our lives and help people in different ways to apply that to theirs.

I would encourage people to not be so narrow-minded when it comes to accepting advice from people. Let’s listen to their story, listen to how they got there. Take from them what you will learn and try to learn something from them. Even if you don’t end up doing what they recommend, you can take what you can from their story and what they learned. See if you can apply it to your life.

On This Episode You Will Hear:

[spp-timestamp time=”00:30″] Introduction

[spp-timestamp time=”12:00″] When we have an injury, your body learns a new way of functioning to protect or get around that injury. When the injury heals, or say you had the surgery, things get a little bit more back to normal function. The body doesn’t necessarily unlearn that way of functioning.

[spp-timestamp time=”20:00″] Consumers were not getting health insurance because it was too expensive, or they weren’t using it. That was throwing a wrench into the whole system. This whole for-profit system goes between practitioners, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical companies. They did this thing to protect the whole system, which made everybody have to get mandatory health insurance.

[spp-timestamp time=”31:00″] I’ve developed an initial consult that, this sounds kind of bad, but kind of weeds out the people that aren’t ready to make the changes necessary. Lots of people come to me expecting that I can give them something they can take. They sometimes expect that I can do something to them that will cure them. However, then they can go back to living their life the exact same way.

[spp-timestamp time=”40:00″] Interesting thing about diabetes, this is one of my favorite things that I’ve come across. One thing about evolution is that people don’t realize that humans are supposed to hit optimal evolution. We’re still evolving now. So one piece of evidence for that is when you go through medical school, you’re learning about diabetes, and metabolic syndrome and heart disease and things like that. We see a higher incidence and prevalence in people of minority descent compared to people of European descent. So Pacific Islanders, African American, Native American, these people are more susceptible to these diseases, they get them more readily and more severely.

Dr. Ann-Marie Barter is a chiropractor and functional medicine practitioner who serves Denver, Niwot, Longmont, Boulder, Lyons, Louisville, Lafayette and the surrounding communities in the Denver Metro Area.denver longmont chiropractor ann barter

Ann-Marie graduated from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, an accredited 4 year Doctoral program that is considered a leader in evidence-based medicine, and the first Chiropractic school to be awarded a federal research grant.

Dr. Barter underwent rigorous clinical training with some of the finest chiropractors. Ann has also undergone advanced training in Applied Kinesiology, completing over 400 extra classroom hours and is certified to practice Applied Kinesiology. She has also studied Functional Blood Chemistry under Dr. Kharrazian.

She has taken an interest in optimizing health by incorporating diet counseling, whole food supplementation, herbal therapy, wellness and lifestyle coaching, scar tissue work, deep tissue massage, and exercise programs.

Dr. Barter has completed the 18 hours required for certification by The Running Clinic for: New Trends in the Prevention of Running Injuries. This training course has been delivered more than a hundred times, on 5 continents! It has been developed using the most recent scientific evidence, it questions several current unjustified practices. The techniques learned in this class help Dr. Barter better assess her patients and aids in making recommendations for avoiding future running-related injuries.

Ann’s Bio Continued:

Medicine is a second career and passion for Dr. Barter. Initially, she worked at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas negotiating major systems for their fighter jet program. She excelled at difficult negotiations and was able to hit challenging company goals.

Ann is passionate about chiropractic, helping people get out of pain and reach their maximum potential. Chiropractic changed Dr. Barter’s life. When she was in initially introduced to chiropractic (in her early 20’s) she was skeptical. The more educated she became in the art of chiropractic, the more interested and intrigued she became, until she finally asked for an adjustment from a family friend who practices chiropractic. The treatment was like magic. He not only adjusted her spine but also her feet, hips, knees, wrists, and elbows. She felt new and light, like a better version of herself. He also took extra time to put her on a specific dietary protocol and nutritional regimen, from which she realized major positive changes. She excelled academically, experienced less gastrointestinal upset, reduced brain-fog, lost weight, and started to enjoy activities like hiking, because her foot mechanics had been changed.

Dr. Barter has been active in athletics her entire life. For 17 years Dr. Barter was a competitive dancer. These days she can be found dancing, skiing, running, performing yoga, biking, hiking, lifting weights or walking her Rhodesian Ridgeback, Ritz. She knows what it takes to be an athlete and she finds great satisfaction in helping athletes reach their maximum potential.

Ann uses chiropractic care to improve the health and wellness in all areas of patient’s lives, whether they are having problems with back or neck pain, or just want to start feeling better when they wake up in the morning. Dr. Barter takes a “whole person” approach to chiropractic care, which means looking for the underlying causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, as opposed to just treating the symptoms.

Many seemingly unrelated symptoms often arise from imbalances in the spinal column, extremities, biochemical disturbances, and stress and Dr. Barter will be able to determine the root of the problem and create a personalized chiropractic and wellness plan to suit each patient’s individual needs.

Dr. Ann-Marie Barter is passionate about helping you and your family. She has a broad range of diagnostic skills and enjoys working with women and men of all ages including pregnant women, kids, and geriatric patients. She is dedicated to appropriately assessing your condition, building an individualized treatment program, and optimizing your health.

On This Episode You Will Hear:

[spp-timestamp time=”00:30″] Introduction

[spp-timestamp time=”01:49″] What’s your fast protocol? Nutritional cleansing, fasting, detoxing, and more.

[spp-timestamp time=”04:48″] Water fast from time to time and being able to retrace injuries.

[spp-timestamp time=”07:08″] I love that retracing of your injury when you’re cleaning out and cleansing. I jumped on a nail when I was six years old. Wow, that bottom of my foot really hurts.

[spp-timestamp time=”09:13″] I wanted to move to Colorado because I fought the Four Mile Canyon complex fire in 2010 outside of Boulder. The first time I saw a molten engine block, it got so hot, it looked like the Terminator, the liquid robot.

[spp-timestamp time=”10:47″] The ptarmigan glacier up in Rocky Mountain National Park, so we parked at 8000 and then we hiked to 12-13,000’, and you just drop off of that cliff edge. That was my first backcountry experience into that bowl.

[spp-timestamp time=”13:25″] I go up there I decided that I’m going to wear new skis, by the way my friend and I are the only females in the parking lot. I’m wearing new powder skis because I’m set. If you’ve ever skied Silverton there are double blacks, they’re pretty intense. It’s also that time of year, it was kind of rocky, I mean the conditions were ice they closed a week later.

[spp-timestamp time=”14:36″] It really gave me a respect for the mountains and so now going out in that country just totally gives me a different respect for it. I guess you have to be humbled to really see what that’s all about.

[spp-timestamp time=”18:26″] So I definitely grew up athletic. I was a competitive dancer and a competitive runner but I did a lot of my growing up in Texas, which is pretty flat. So there’s none of the mountain experience that you can have. I actually didn’t like to hike as a kid I used to whine about it because my feet were really bad and so it hurt me to walk and hike.

[spp-timestamp time=”19:19″] I found chiropractic when I was in college because I had all kinds of gut and gastrointestinal problems and I found alternative health. So my story into alternative health is this, I remember having such bad period cramps I went to my MD, right? Well she actually just said you know, suck it up.

[spp-timestamp time=”20:59″] I get my appendix removed, told the whole time, I’m perfectly healthy as I just have an organ removed. Fast forward a few years I’m in college and I start breaking out into hives all over my body and an anaphylaxis reaction. Trip after trip to the emergency room, they give me Benadryl on top of Benadryl, nobody ever talked to me about diet, lifestyle, anything.

[spp-timestamp time=”27:25″] You can see if on basic lab panels like homocysteine will tell us if somebody has current information related to that MTHFR gene. Your body produces glutathione. In fact, it’s a major antioxidant. One of the most powerful antioxidants in the body.

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.

– Norman Vincent Peale

[spp-timestamp time=”30:41″] I had a patient I generally recommend a paleo whole 30 cleanse for 30 days for my patients. I have been doing this for like 20 years before Paleo was cool. I remember just one time trying to go vegan just to see if I could go vegan for 30 days to see if I could do it. I literally think I felt how frustrated people feel when they’re trying to change their diet for the first time because it was so hard. I couldn’t find any foods to eat because I don’t need a ton of grains. I don’t eat soy.

[spp-timestamp time=”34:00″] Aside from the vegan diet not being good for me, just based on how active my lifestyle is, etc. Plus really needing to do additional supplementation.

[spp-timestamp time=”36:34″] Dr. Anthony Jay’s launching right now the first Carnivore Study, he’s looking for people to participate in his study where for 90 days you’re 100% carnivore.

[spp-timestamp time=”39:46″] There are a lot of buzz words today: Keto, Ketogenic, Paleo, Paleolithic, LCHF, Low Carb High Fat, NSNG, No Sugar No Grains, etc.

[spp-timestamp time=”41:02″] You always have to check men’s estrogen to make sure that they’re not producing too much estrogen when you’re checking their testosterone. Same with women.

[spp-timestamp time=”42:46″] Ubiome, they’ll break down what bacteria you have in your gut and what you don’t have in your gut. It’s actually pretty cool testing to figure out what’s going on.

[spp-timestamp time=”44:51″] Ultimately, we have gap junctions in our GI system. What ends up happening is these gap junctions get some space in between them. Then that leaks out into our bloodstream.

[spp-timestamp time=”46:21″] You clean up the other diet, you clean up everything else.

[spp-timestamp time=”47:03″] I put people on an elimination diet initially, I don’t love grains for a lot of patients. I definitely don’t love sugar for a lot of patients. I think that they need to incorporate some more foods like nuts and seeds depending on how you look at paleo.

[spp-timestamp time=”50:45″] I get a lot of questions about Keto. I have women come in that have gained like 30 pounds on Keto. I don’t think keto is good and I don’t think keto is bad. Certain people, have livers that can’t process that much fat at once.

[spp-timestamp time=”52:38″] It is money, money, money, money, money, money, a lot of people are getting wealthy with people being sick. A lot of people are making money in the food industry that way.

[spp-timestamp time=”56:36″] I would overeat protein, I would blow my blood sugar and blow my ketones.

[spp-timestamp time=”01:04:46″] Final Words

Final Words:

Being a practitioner, sometimes practitioners don’t connect because there’s this concern about scarcity and they don’t do what’s best for the patient. It can be working with our MD or working with a surgeon or whomever it is, to give them the best care when we integrate.

It is powerful medicine because multiple eyes looking at one thing is so much better than one set of eyes looking at one thing. I just think people really do need to take control of their health.

The people that I see coming in here, they are 20 years old, especially in my Denver location. They’re 20 years old, they’re struggling with crazy things that they cannot get to the bottom of. I mean we’re talking eczema, we’re talking about abscesses in their large intestines. You have to take these alternative methods seriously earlier, because, you know, you’re going to have a much better life, you’re going to have a much better quality of life. I don’t know why people don’t want to do that. I don’t know why people don’t want to embrace that. It’s just baffles me.

CoreFit teaches us patience:

I love to go out and meet with my co-host’s live and in person. Today I am at a local chiropractor office here in Allentown, Pennsylvania. We are meeting with a newly independent entrepreneur and chiropractor here in 2016. A husband of an old friend of mine as well, it’s a small world. Today lets welcome Dr. Mark Walter of CoreFit Chiropractic to the LIVETHEFUEL Show.

This episode with Dr. Mark is about reprogramming you. We all look for the quick and easy solutions. A pill won’t solve everything.

On This Episode You Will Hear:

[spp-timestamp time=”1:48″] Where Mark is now and his background journey to getting there

[spp-timestamp time=”5:24″] Hotshots and Smoke Jumper Firefighters

[spp-timestamp time=”8:51″] Dislocating a rib – Transverse Process

[spp-timestamp time=”12:40″] Including Chiropractic as a pain management method and moving away from the “Alternative” stigma the field had been labeled in

[spp-timestamp time=”16:44 “] Addiction – “If you are a hammer, all you are going to see is nails”

[spp-timestamp time=”18:26″] You are what you eat

[spp-timestamp time=”20:47″] With standard MD education you would be lucky to receive two hours of education on nutrition. We have been marketed to, that you will find the answer to everything through a pill.

[spp-timestamp time=”23:23″] DC – Doctor of Chiropractic, DO – Doctor of Osteopathic

[spp-timestamp time=”26:26″] We all look for a quick easy solution. We have to look whats going on dietary, one of the biggest problems we have is to do with inflammation.

[spp-timestamp time=”29:05″] Inflammation is like a fire going on inside of your body. How healthy are you to put that fire out?

[spp-timestamp time=”30:10″] What an adjustment is vs a mobilization is

[spp-timestamp time=”32:24″] The Balance Equation

[spp-timestamp time=”34:06″] Saying “I want to Quit Something” or “Lose Something”, is setting you up for immediate failure. This creates a physiological reaction and a feeling of loss. Use words like, “Replace” and “Get rid of”.

[spp-timestamp time=”38:51″] People just don’t realize how unbalanced they really are

[spp-timestamp time=”41:23″] It’s a lifestyle and a journey not a destination

[spp-timestamp time=”46:10″] Listen to you body, know what your strengths and weaknesses are and know when to cut back. A lot of people don’t do enough mobility work, stretching etc

[spp-timestamp time=”48:05″] Neuromuscular control, swimming and gymnastics – Reprogramming your software

[spp-timestamp time=”52:31″] Final Words
